In this position, you will be responsible for developing, customizing, and testing control system software for injection molding and plastic extrusion machinery, including adapting baseline machine software and control systems for production machines and customer applications.\nWork You’ll Do:\nDevelop and test control system software for injection molding and extrusion machinery.\nCustomize and enhance existing machine software and control platforms for production and customer requirements.\nDevelop software using C#, Python, JavaScript, and related technologies.\nDevelop and support web-based HMI applications.\nSupport machine control software in PLC environments using Structured Text and/or C++.\nEnhance and maintain legacy software systems utilizing Qt.\nUse Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and modern source control practices.\nIntegrate controls, drives, HMIs, I/O systems, robots, and third-party devices.\nTroubleshoot industrial networks and communication protocols.\nCollaborate with global and cross-functional engineering teams on product development.\nQualifications:\n3+ years of software development experience in industrial automation, machine controls, embedded systems, or related applications.\nProficiency in C, C#, Python, and JavaScript, including software design, debugging, testing, and maintenance.\nExperience with Git, Azure DevOps, source control, and CI/CD practices.\nExperience developing HMI applications and machine control software.\nExperience with scripting and automation tools such as Python, PowerShell, and Bash.\nPLC programming experience using IEC 61131-3 languages, including Structured Text and Function Block Diagram, preferred.\nExperience with industrial communication protocols such as EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, PROFINET, Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT, or serial communications preferred.\nB&R Automation Studio or Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 experience preferred.\nQt framework or embedded Linux development experience preferred.\nInjection molding or plastics industry experience preferred.\nExperience with AI-enabled engineering tools preferred.\nCloud-connected industrial systems or Industry 4.0 experience
