Orab sites. The Facilities Painter role is responsible for maintaining the aesthetic and protective quality of buildings or facilities by applying paint, varnish, and other finishes.\nWork You’ll Do:\nPreparing surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and filling in holes or cracks.\nMixing, matching, and applying paint, varnish, shellac, enamel, and other finishes.\nMaintaining equipment and tools used in painting processes.\nInspecting and assessing the area to be painted to plan the work ahead.\nApplying paint or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.\nRemoving old paint from surfaces.\nSetting up scaffolding or setting up ladders to perform tasks above ground level.\nCovering surfaces with cloth or plastic to ensure protection.\nCalculating the quantity of materials needed for each job.\nKeeping track of paint supplies and ordering more as necessary.\nCleaning up supplies and equipment after each job.\nFollowing all safety guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.\nAs a member of the Maintenance Team, you will perform painting duties as well as a variety of general maintenance support tasks. These may include conference room setup, filter cleaning during facility shutdowns, and providing assistance to fellow maintenance team members to support departmental goals and operational needs.\nTeam:\nThis role will be a part of the Batavia and Mt. Orab Facility Maintenance teams reporting directly to the Facility Maintenance Manager at Batavia. \nBasic Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent knowledge\n1 plus years of painting experience\nAbility to work in heights. Will be trained to use a Boom Lift.\nValid driver’s license\nPreferred Qualifications:\nAttention to detail for quality finishes.\nSafety knowledge and awareness of hazards.\n3 years painting experience in an industrial facility.\nPhysical Demands:\nTo perform this job successfully, the physical demands listed are representative of those that must be met by an employee.
