You will develop cloud-native, event-driven systems that connect charging infrastructure, customers, operations and business processes. Reporting to the Head of Software Engineering, you will work closely with Product, Data and Engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable and reliable software solutions that support Milence's continued growth across Europe.\nReporting to the Head of Software Engineering, you will contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from design and implementation through deployment and operations. In addition, you will help drive engineering excellence through automation, DevOps practices, continuous improvement and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.\nWhat you will do\nYou will design, develop and enhance event-driven services, APIs and distributed applications using TypeScript, Node.js and modern cloud-native technologies, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure and maintainable.\n\nYou will contribute to customer-facing applications and internal platforms by developing React-based components and web applications that integrate seamlessly with back-end services and deliver a consistent user experience.\n\nYou will design and optimise databases, data models and data flows, ensuring applications meet security, reliability and performance requirements throughout the software lifecycle.\n\nYou will implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, monitoring and deployment solutions, leveraging cloud-native services, containerisation and serverless technologies to enable reliable and efficient software delivery.\n\nYou will troubleshoot complex technical issues, perform root cause analysis and implement structural improvements that strengthen platform resilience, availability and operational performance.\n\nYou will collaborate closely with Software Engineering, Data, Product and business stakeholders to translate business needs into effective technical solutions while continuously improving processes, tools and engineering practices.\n\nRequirements\nWhat you bring\nYou hold a bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science or a related field and have at least three years of experience designing and developing cloud-native software applications in a professional environment.\n\nYou have strong hands-on experience with TypeScript and Node.js and are comfortable working with React or similar front-end frameworks.\n\nYou have experience building and operating cloud solutions on Azure, AWS or GCP and are familiar with event-driven architectures, microservices, APIs and distributed systems.\n\nYou understand database design, data modelling and security best practices and have experience optimising data performance and reliability.
