The Construction Project Engineer coordinates with projects field personnel and project leadership on progress and status of the worked performed. Responsible for supporting the generation of Request for Information (RIFs). Offers technical information to project supervision to ensure work complies with applicable codes, drawings and specifications. Has a general understanding of project budgets and assists with buyouts. Monitors and tracks project quality control metrics and activities by providing timely reports to the PM or Superintendent as appropriate.\nWhat you will do:\nRead and interpret project drawing and specifications, provide material take-offs, formulate construction cost estimates, and prepare proposals.\n\nManage project scope, schedule and budget.\n\nPrepare change order documentation.\n\nCreate project management plans.\n\nCreate project quality control plans.\n\nPrepare Critical Path Method Schedules.\n\nReading, understanding, and working with construction crews to follow project specific documents.\n\nMaintaining project files.\n\nCreating inspection check lists.\n\nCarrying out and documenting the results of construction inspections.\n\nWho you are:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or Project Management. \n2-5 Years of related experience, including commercial construction management experience and experience working with public entities.\n\nUtility and roadway construction experience as a Project Engineer or Project Management -Procore experience preferred\n\nOSHA 10 preferred\n\nBi-Lingual (Spanish), preferred\n\nKnowledge of standard construction practices, materials, equipment, and sequencing.\n\nApplication of civil, structural, or MEP engineering principles and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.\n\nAbility to develop and track project schedules, coordinate tasks, and manage milestones using tools like Primavera or MS Project.\n\nSkills in quantity take-offs, estimating, tracking project costs, and assistingbudget management.\n\nProficient in handling RFIs, submittals, change orders, and familiarity with contract terms and administration.\n\nKnowledge of applicable building codes, environmental regulations, and OSHA safety standards.\n\nAbility to conduct site visits, support construction activities, resolve issues, and monitor quality and safety.\n\nCapable of identifyingissues early, evaluating solutions, and implementing corrective actions efficiently.\n\nSkilled in software such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Procore, Revit, or construction management platforms.\n\nClear written and verbal communication for collaboration with contractors, clients, and internal teams.\n\nAbility to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintaindetailed records.\n\nWorks effectively in cross-functional teams and representsthe company professionally with stakeholders.\n\nAt Milhouse, we’re more than just a place to work - we’re a place to grow, thrive, and be celebrated.
