You are eligible on Day One to participate.\nWhat you will do:\nLeads vegetation management crews.\nEnsures utility specifications are followed.\nCoordinate with General Foreman.\nPre-inspect projects and develop recommended management plans, matching labor and equipment resources to work and cost estimates.\nMaintain accurate project circuit maps noting project status, crew locations and estimated completion dates.\nInspect crews, start/stop times and identification of project shop locations.\nAudit time sheets for accuracy.\nAssist with customer notifications and customer complaints.\nPreview work assignments and conduct post work critiques for each crew.\nMaintain an adequate inventory of tools and supplies to sufficiently support the compliment of assigned crews.\nCoordinate activities with the General Foreperson working with the utility to ensure customer’s requirements are achieved.\nThis is a minimum 40 hour work week.\nPerforms other duties as required.\nWhat we are looking for:\nMust have field experience as vegetation management crew member.\nMust have the ability to evaluate circuit conditions and hours required to complete required clearances to utility specifications. \nMust have computer knowledge.\nMust be able to communicate with various levels of field and management personnel and write reports.\nDue to the inherently dangerous nature of the industry and the requirements to work with or around hazardous equipment, employees must be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time.\nMust be able to wear necessary PPE as necessary.\nMust be able to safely drive an approved company vehicle.\nMust be able to enter and exit a vehicle numerous times a day.\nMust be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work assignments, i.e., rain, heat, sun, cold.\nMust be able to traverse various terrains.\nMust be able to write, read and comprehend written and verbal job instructions/information.\nMust be able to communicate and handle confrontations professionally.\nMust be able to work long hours and overtime during emergencies (including holidays, weekends, etc. Subject to call out work).\nMust have knowledge of heavy equipment.\nMust have transportation to and from the show up location.\nMust be willing to travel out of state for emergency storm work.\nAbility to meet DOT medical certification requirements and obtain a valid DOT Medical Card within 2 weeks from start date.\nMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.\nMust be able to pass a background check and Motor Vehicle Records Check (MVR).\nMust have a valid driver’s license.\nWorking Conditions:\nMust be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work assignments, i.e., rain, heat, sun, cold.\nMust be able to stand for extended periods of time.\nWork demands physical energy, twisting, some lifting ability, and hand-to-eye coordination.\nUses machines, tools, equipment, and work aides used include chainsaws, hydraulic tools, and hand tools as required.\nMust have transportation to and from the show up location. \nAt Milhouse, we’re more than just a place to work - we’re a place to grow, thrive, and be celebrated.
