About the Role: General Mechanical Maintenance Technician

As our General Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for repairing, replacing, and maintaining hotel equipment and guests’ rooms in accordance with established standards in a safe manner.

This role is ideal for someone who brings a passion for hospitality, takes ownership, and is committed to continuous improvement and results.

What You’ll Be Doing -

  • Paint, deliver and/or repair furniture, fix or install wall coverings, caulking, grouting, or other miscellaneous repairs needed throughout the hotel.
  • Maintain, repair, or replace hotel equipment.
  • Respond to any guest or employee issues with furnace, air-conditioner, and boiler to provide heat, cool air, TV, in-room safe, and hot water.
  • Accurate record keeping on assigned tasks is required.
  • Change filters on all supply air fans and fan coil units, requiring the ability to grasp hand tools and adjust and maintain equipment.
  • Maintain a clean work area, which includes your supplies and workshop area.

Requirements

Technical Specific Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, painting and electrical work.
  • Basic knowledge of both hand tools and electric tools.
  • Must have basic English communication skills.
  • Be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Be able to grasp, lift or carry up to 50lbs.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Must be dependable.
  • Proactively looks for more efficient ways of performing duties.
  • Able to perform tasks without immediate supervision.
  • Responds promptly to guests’ request and listens to their concerns.
  • Related experience/training of 2-4 years is required.
