The team develops and supports the next generation of analytical, trading, integration, and enterprise capabilities in a global engineering environment.\nWhat You'll Do\nProvide production support for critical internal trading, integration, and event-driven messaging platforms across user-acceptance and production environments.\nDiagnose and resolve application, messaging, infrastructure, connectivity, latency, throughput, and data-delivery issues; coordinate escalations with subject-matter experts and external vendors as needed.\nCommunicate clearly and promptly with trading staff and internal stakeholders during incidents, platform disruptions, releases, and exchange-related events.\nPartner with global teams across North America, Europe, and APAC to deliver seamless production support coverage and coordinate incident, problem, change, and release-management activities.\nMonitor platform health, identify emerging risks, and strengthen operational readiness through dashboards, alerting, capacity planning, runbooks, post-incident reviews, and root-cause analysis.\nDesign, implement, administer, and support Solace PubSub+ event-driven integration solutions, including event brokers, message VPNs, client profiles, queues, subscriptions, ACLs, certificates, authentication, authorization, and monitoring.\nEstablish and maintain event-driven architecture standards for topics, schemas, versioning, security, retention, resiliency, and lifecycle management; use Solace Event Portal and AsyncAPI-based practices to govern reusable event contracts.\nDevelop source-controlled automation, configuration, and operational tooling using Python, shell scripting, GitHub, Artifactory, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code practices to improve reliability, observability, deployment, and recovery procedures.\nWhat You Bring\nExperience supporting business-critical production systems in a fast-paced environment, ideally within financial services, trading technology, or another highly available enterprise setting.\nHands-on experience with Solace PubSub+, including broker configuration, queues, topics, subscriptions, ACLs, client connectivity, routing, and operational support.\nStrong knowledge of event-driven architecture, asynchronous messaging, distributed systems, and integration patterns, including one or more of JMS, AMQP, MQTT, REST, WebSocket, or SMF.\nStrong Linux skills, including command-line troubleshooting, log analysis, process management, networking fundamentals, and shell scripting.\nStrong Python and shell scripting skills, with experience automating platform operations, environment management, configuration, deployment, monitoring, validation, or recovery.\nExperience with GitHub and Git-based workflows, including pull requests, branching strategies, CI/CD practices, and artifact repositories such as Artifactory.\nDemonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex incidents across application, messaging, infrastructure, and network layers, while communicating effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and trading staff.\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.\nSalary Range\nMillennium offers a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and comprehensive benefits. The estimated base salary range for this position is $175,000 to $250,000, which is specific to New York City and may change in the future.
