If you think you are a good fit for this role, we encourage you to apply. \nThe Plumbing Engineer will support multiple concurrent capital projects ranging from $5M - $100M across a variety of markets, with a strong focus on healthcare. This person should have a proven history of performing work with efficiency and periodic oversight.\nOur clients include federal agencies (e.g. Department of Veteran Affairs, Department of Defense, General Services Administration, and the Federal Bureau of Prisons), as well as state and local governments. Projects have varied degrees of complexity and a wide range of estimated construction costs and include new construction and renovations of hospitals, healthcare and military facilities, federal office buildings and courthouses, state and local government buildings, research laboratories, corrections facilities and site utility infrastructure projects.\nKey Responsibilities\nPrepare plumbing designs, calculations, estimates, reports, and specifications for building projects\nSupport plumbing design on multiple projects, working off established priorities\nConduct site surveys of existing conditions\nAssist with construction punch lists\nParticipate in project design and coordination meetings\nCommunicate with all other disciplines to ensure incorporation of all information into project requirements\nAccountable for technical quality of engineering tasks on assigned projects\nQualifications\nBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, and/or a credential such as CPD (Certified in Plumbing Design), and/or equivalent experience; Progress toward PE licensure is preferred\nMinimum 5 years of related experience designing wide variety of facilities for industrial, commercial, educational, institutional and governmental projects\nExperience in hospitals and healthcare, military bases, government buildings and courthouses, research laboratories, central steam and chilled water plants, and/or corrections facilities highly valued\nStrong Revit skills\nGood planning, organizational, and communication skills\nExperience with plumbing systems including sanitary, storm, domestic water, and natural gas is required\nExposure to fire protection systems (wet/dry/pre-action sprinklers and standpipes) is a plus\nAbility to work on multiple projects at the same time\nTravel to client sites as required\nMiller-Remick does not provide visa sponsorship or support. Candidates are required to successfully complete a federal background check for security clearance.\nThe anticipated salary range for this position is $99,400 - $113,600 annually.
