Primary emphasis is on quoting and contract management.\nTranslates business needs into sound technical designs, partners closely with developers and business stakeholders, and provides advanced application support. Documentation is a key deliverable of this role: solution designs and support processes are written in enough detail that other team members can confidently serve as a backup, and that AI and other emerging technologies can be used effectively.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nServes as the application analyst for assigned order management applications, developing a working understanding of each application's functionality, interfaces, and dependencies.\nCreates and maintains solution design documentation in Confluence, including architecture, data flows, integrations, business rules, and key design decisions, at a level of detail that allows others to understand, support, and enhance the solution.\nDocuments the processes used to support users, including runbooks, troubleshooting steps, common issues and resolutions, and escalation paths, so that other team members can serve as a backup.\nUnderstands the technical design of the custom-built applications well enough to hold informed design conversations with developers, constructively challenge approaches and estimates, assess the impact of proposed changes, and write clear, complete Jira stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.\nTranslates business needs and processes into technical designs and requirements, collaborating with business partners, developers, architects, and infrastructure teams.\nSupports the lead of the contract management modernization effort by contributing to requirements, process design, and solution evaluation, and serves as a trusted advisor on tradeoffs such as fit, integration, cost, risk, and maintainability.\nProvides application support by triaging, troubleshooting, and resolving incidents and service requests, writing and running SQL queries to investigate data issues, working with developers to identify root causes, and participating in support coverage as defined by the team.\nUses AI tools to accelerate analysis and the creation of requirements, user stories, test scenarios, and documentation, and reviews and corrects all AI-generated content for accuracy and completeness.\nDocuments and maintains AutoSys jobs and the dependencies between applications, integrations, and scheduled jobs, including purpose, schedule, upstream and downstream impact, and interfaces.\nShares knowledge, cross-trains teammates, and continuously improves documentation standards and support practices to reduce reliance on individual subject matter experts.\nFollows established IT processes, standards, security practices, and change management procedures; exercises independent judgment; and seeks approval before implementing changes or releasing work output.\nPresents work output, technical information, and recommendations clearly and concisely for the intended audience.\nPerforms additional responsibilities as needed to achieve business objectives.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline preferred.\nSix or more years of professional IT or information systems experience, including analysis, design, and support of business applications.\nExperience designing custom applications on AWS.\nExperience evaluating or implementing commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions.\nDemonstrated experience creating clear, detailed technical and process documentation.\nExperience with order management, quoting, or contract management processes preferred.\nSKILLS AND ABILITIES\nQuick learner who rapidly builds an understanding of unfamiliar applications, business processes, and technical designs.\nExceptional written communication and documentation skills, with the discipline to keep documentation current.\nAbility to translate business needs into technical designs and requirements.\nProficiency writing and running SQL queries to investigate data issues and validate results.\nUnderstanding of data modeling, APIs and integrations, and application architecture sufficient to review a design, identify gaps, and constructively challenge approaches and estimates.\nExperience writing user stories in Jira or a similar tool, with acceptance criteria that address edge cases, data requirements, error handling, security, and performance.\nAbility to evaluate options and clearly communicate tradeoffs.\nKnowledge of how current trends and technology, including AI, may be used to support business partners.\nStrong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the judgment to know when to escalate.\nMust be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
