This role is critical to maintaining correct documentation by ensuring timely material flow, optimizing logistics costs, and managing risks associated with international supply chains. Operate in alignment with corporate supply chain strategies, driving standardization, visibility, and collaboration across the global network, while supporting business growth and operational excellence.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nInternational Logistics & Import/ Operations\nCoordinate and execute import operations for raw materials and components (fabric, foam, wood, hardware) and finished products, ensuring on-time delivery aligned with lead times. \nManage end-to-end shipment tracking from supplier origin to plant delivery, ensuring full visibility of inbound materials. \nCoordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to ensure efficient and reliable transportation. \nMonitor in-transit shipments, yard operations, and container flow to ensure proper scheduling and unloading. \nEnsure timely and accurate preparation and validation of shipping documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, etc.). \nProactively identify, escalate, and resolve delays or disruptions (customs holds, documentation issues, port congestion) to avoid delays. \nPrioritize correct documentation and align material flow with demand needs.\nFollow NOMs certificates and new regulations in customs documentation.\nCost Optimization & Logistics Performance\nMonitor and control logistics costs (freight, duties, demurrage, storage), ensuring alignment with budget targets and corporate cost optimization initiatives. \nAnalyze transit times, cost trends, and service levels to improve logistics performance and support data-driven decision-making. \nContinuous Improvement & Corporate Culture\nActively participate in continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Millerknoll performance systems and operational excellence frameworks. \nPromote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and customer focus, aligned with Millerknoll values. \nSupport standardization of processes, data accuracy, and system utilization across the supply chain network. \nDemonstrate strong ownership, sense of urgency, and commitment to delivering results in alignment with organizational goals.\nCross-functional Collaboration & Corporate Alignment\nPartner with Finance to ensure timely payments to carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers, avoiding service disruptions. \nCollaborate with Purchasing and Planning teams to align inbound materials with supply plans and production priorities. \nWork with Customer Service teams to communicate shipment status, risks, and potential delays impacting customer commitments. \nCoordinate with Warehouse to ensure proper receiving, material visibility, and inventory control. \nEngage and collaborate with corporate supply chain, logistics, and trade compliance teams to align with global standards, share best practices, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the network.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
