Perhaps you’ll be thriving at NaughtOne soon.\nJob Description: Material Planner\nPurpose\nTo be the day-to-day face of the Supply Chain team with suppliers, ensuring purchase orders are communicated, confirmed, accurately processed and delivered on time.\nThe role will take ownership of the purchase order from the point it is sent to the supplier through to delivery and invoice resolution, maintaining clear communication with suppliers, Logistics and the wider business.\nResponsibilities / Key Deliverables\nSend purchase orders to suppliers and ensure all required information is provided.\nEnsure purchase orders are confirmed within 48 hours, process confirmations in the MRP system and maintain accurate delivery dates.\nChase overdue order confirmations and supplier deliveries.\nMaintain visibility of all open purchase orders and take action to keep deliveries on track\nHold weekly review meetings with key suppliers to keep orders on track and resolve any supply risks.\nUpdate shortage notes and recovery actions in the MRP system to ensure visibility of supplier delays and customer order risks.\nGather shipment information for upcoming deliveries and provide Logistics with the information required to book inbound transport.\nResolve supplier invoice queries and discrepancies.\nBuild strong day-to-day relationships with suppliers and act as a key point of contact.\nMaintain accurate supplier, order and delivery information within the MRP system.\nSupport improvements to supplier communication, order management and supply chain processes.\nCore Competencies\nStrong supplier communication and relationship management skills.\nHighly organised with the ability to manage multiple open orders and priorities.\nStrong attention to detail and system accuracy.\nProactive in chasing actions and resolving issues.\nAble to identify and communicate supply risks quickly.\nGood understanding of purchase order and supplier management processes.\nConfident working with MRP/ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.\nAble to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.\nTakes ownership and follows actions through to completion.\nWorks effectively with Logistics, Production, Planning, Finance and suppliers.\nProblem-solving mindset with a focus on keeping orders on track.\nMaintains visibility of open orders and understands the impact of supplier delays on production and customer deliveries.\nDimensions of Role\nBased at the NaughtOne Birstall site, this is a full-time permanent position within the Supply Chain and Planning Team.\nThe role reports to the Supply Chain & Planning Manager and works closely with suppliers, Logistics, Production, Finance, Customer Experience and other operational teams.\nThe Material Planner is responsible for managing supplier purchase orders, maintaining accurate order information within the MRP system and supporting material availability for production and customer orders.\nWho We Hire?\nAt NaughtOne we believe in keeping things simple.
