And our success allows MillerKnoll to support causes that align with our values, so we can build a more sustainable, equitable, and beautiful future for everyone.\nJob Description\nJob title - Shunter\nDepartment - Logistics\nReports to Logistics and Transport Manager\nLocation - Portal Mill, Melksham\nJob summary\nMinimum 40- hour week\nMonday - Friday\nSome weekend work required\nRotating Shift Pattern - between 0530hrs & 1400hrs/1400hrs & 2230hrs - or as the business requires\nSpecific responsibilities\nDirecting incoming equipment and vehicles to correct loading/parking bays.\nLiaising with warehouse and planning personnel to ensure correct equipment is positioned on bays, ensuring a flow is maintained, informing the transport supervisor when equipment shortage will affect loading.\nEnsuring trailers are legally compliant, positioning equipment on and off bays as required to ensure the yard is in a safe and organised condition.\nFollow correct VOR process, liaising with the transport supervisor.\nAssisting with any yard/trailer related queries.\nFollow site and business Health and Safety systems of work.\nCarry out additional operational duties as required.\nCompany requirements\nHealth & Safety; ensure that safe working practices are followed. Attend safety briefings, as requested.
