This position is responsible for end-to-end network architecture, including data center structures, the IP/MPLS backbone, and data center interconnect (DCI).\nResponsibilities:\nConfigure and install network components such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers within data center environments, both during standard working hours and scheduled maintenance windows.\nConduct network performance testing and apply tuning techniques to optimize latency, throughput, and reliability across data center and interconnect (DCI) networks.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to align network implementation with organizational goals and initiatives.\nMonitor network infrastructure using SNMP, telemetry, and flow-based tools, and promptly troubleshoot and resolve issues to minimize downtime and operational impact.\nDocument network configurations, changes, and procedures for future reference and compliance.\nProvide technical support and training to internal teams and stakeholders on network architecture, configurations, and operational best practices.\nStay current with industry trends and advancements in network technologies to recommend improvements.\nPlan and manage network-related projects from design through implementation, ensuring milestones, deadlines, and deliverables are met on time and within scope.\n Experience and Technical Knowledge:\nA minimum of 3 years of experience in similar roles in data center or network engineering environments.\nExperience managing international network operations within complex, multi-site, high-availability infrastructures.\nKnowledge of firewall technologies, traffic filtering, access control policies, and network protection mechanisms.\nKnowledge of networking fundamentals, including:Network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS)\nRouting and switching technologies (L2/L3, VLAN, STP, VXLAN, EVPN, MPLS, segment-based routing)\nFirewall administration (policies, NAT, VPN, segmentation)\nNetwork security principles (Zero Trust, access control)\nDocumenting network configurations, changes, and procedures,\n\nSkill s:\nAssertive communication.\nProblem-solving \nData analysis and interpretation\nAttention to detail \nAt Tigo we want to have the best, for this reason we look for qualified professionals who work to continue achieving our purpose of continuing to connect more and more Colombians.
