This position also supports capital projects at the manufacturing plant when needed to ensure equipment maintainability is incorporated into the design and that sound maintenance processes are developed.\n\nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES\nPerform maintenance tasks to keep production equipment operational.\nPerform work at the highest safety levels, promote safety internally and work directly with contractors on safety procedures.\nWork with cross functional teams to identify and insure sound maintenance processes are develop for capital projects.\nMaintain, repair and troubleshoot all plant equipment.\nSchedule and perform preventative maintenance.\nParticipate in 5S and TPM teams.\nRead PLC programs as needed and troubleshoot and correct problems pertaining to software and/or hardware.\nElectrical troubleshooting and repairs.\nAssist in developing and installing new equipment or plant expansion projects.\nContact, direct and promote the safety of contractors to perform specific inspections or maintenance work.\nMaintain accurate and up to date maintenance records. \nSupport on call requirements for the plant: 1 week duration, rotating responsibility.\nMust be willing to work a flexible work schedule.Based on Business needs the following maybe required:Overtime\nChanging shifts\nOvernight travel\n\nSAFETY - Adhere to all plant safety policies and compliance regulations. Actively participate in the safety process through completing of safety audits, participating in safety projects, identifying Site Hazards and contributing to safety improvements, and being an attending member of a safety team. Complete annual safety training as required. \n QUALITY - Become familiar with, understand and comply with Milliken Quality Policy, Standard Operating Procedure(s) (SOPs), relevant ISO 9000 standards and Company Policies that are applicable to this position. \n RESPONSIBLE CARE:\na. Be aware of the relevant requirements of the Responsible Care Management System (RC-14001) and follow plant procedures to ensure compliance to requirements.\nb. Understand the RC-14001 Significant Aspects of your job and help ensure controls are in place to reduce or eliminate negative impacts.\nc. Take actions and identify and communicate ideas to minimize waste, prevent pollution and conserve energy.\nHAZARDOUS WASTE HANDLING - All associates who handle hazardous waste shall be given an overview of the regulations and company policies regarding the management of hazardous waste. The hazardous waste handlers shall receive detailed instruction on the proper handling, collecting, labeling, and transporting of hazardous waste as outlined in RCRA and OSHA regulations. Instructions shall also include whom to notify in case of a spill and proper procedures for spill response. Educational requirements include the ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions. Instructions on handling hazardous waste shall come from the hazardous waste manager or appropriate designee.\nENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH, SAFETY & SECURITY RESPONSIBILITIES\nUnderstand the relevant requirements of the Responsible Care Management System (RCMS) and RC-14001 certification.\nUnderstand the importance of conformance to the Environmental, Safety and Responsible Care Policies, procedures, and the requirements of the RCMS.\nUnderstand the significant environmental impacts associated with their work activities and help ensure controls are in place to reduce or eliminate negative impacts.\nUnderstand the potential consequences of deviation from specified operating procedures. \nImmediately report any accidents and releases per the company escalation protocol. \nComply with all environmental, health, safety, and security rules; Environmental, Safety, and Responsible Care policies and programs established by the company to the extent of training received.\nRecognize that adhering to job responsibilities and procedures regarding environmental, safety, security, and health is a condition of employment.\nContribute to continuous improvement of the plant environmental, health, safety, security, and Responsible Care performance and programs.\nQUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED\nHigh School Diploma or GED.\nBasic mechanical skills related to the use of hand and power tools.\nBasic knowledge of process control, refrigeration, boilers, pumps, heat exchangers, LOTO, and industrial safety practices.\nExperienced with steam systems, liquid transfer systems, pump repair, valve repair, and confined space entry.\nCurrent Wisconsin Drivers license.\nAbility to balance multiple priorities in a fast paced, constantly changing environment.\n\nThe successful candidate will have strengths in the following:\nPrevious electrical work experience a plus.\nWater treatment experience preferred.\n1-3 years experience in chemical manufacturing environment.\n3-5 years maintenance experience or educational equivalent.\nAbility to repair and install piping - welding experience a plus.\nComputer Skills and CMMS software experience a plus.\nEQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER AND ACCOMMODATIONS\nThe company is an equal opportunity employer.
