This position primarily supports key business leaders in Milliman’s Health division. The successful applicant will collaborate with Milliman team members to understand business goals and requirements. They will also work to ensure compliance with Milliman’s legal and risk management policies. Reports to an Associate General Counsel (AGC).\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nContract Drafting, Review and Negotiation\nDraft, redline, negotiate and advise on assigned contract types, including, NDAs, SOWs, amendments, consulting service agreements, business associate agreements, master service agreements, SaaS subscriptions, SLAs, software licensing agreements and vendor agreements\nUnder the guidance of Associate General Counsel, draft templates\nReview, analyze and evaluate RFP requirements and take exception to terms (as appropriate)\nCounsel\nServe as legal advisor to internal clients and business owners.\nCompliance and Risk Management\nUnder the guidance of AGC, interpret and advise on policies.\nUnder the guidance of AGC, identify legal risk, recommend and implement risk mitigation strategies.\nAssist AGC with support on subpoena responses.\nSupport Firm, GCS or Department Initiatives, as directed\nTravel\nLimited travel, up to 10%\nSKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:\nJuris doctorate or equivalent.\nThe ideal candidate must be a licensed attorney in the state of Washington or any other US jurisdiction.\nThe ideal candidate must have Four (4) years of in-house or law firm experience, with two (2) years of such experience in either a professional services firm or software company.\nThe ideal candidate must have intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Word, and Outlook, working knowledge of SharePoint and OneNote.\nThe ideal candidate must have Contract Management System experience (Agiloft preferred).\nThe ideal candidate must have demonstrated experience with drafting, reviewing, redlining, and negotiating contractual agreements, specifically SaaS subscriptions and software licensing agreements.\nThe ideal candidate must possess strong ability to review, analyze and summarize existing & potential contract terms and provide succinct meaningful feedback, questions and recommendations to internal clients.\nMust have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner.\nMust have the ability to work within a globally distributed organization.\nMust have the ability to apply complex procedures requiring judgment and confidentiality.\nMust have excellent project management skills including the ability to prepare, prioritize and complete work plans.\nMust have strong collaboration skills and ability to work well within all levels of the organization.\nMust have the ability to work autonomously.\nMust have the proven ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.\nMust be willing to travel (domestic) 10% of the time.\nSKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:\nUnderstanding of regulatory requirements specific to the healthcare sector.\nLOCATION:\nThis is a remote role. This job posting is expected to close on October 30th, 2026\nCOMPENSATION:\nThe overall range for this role is $131,600 - $249,780. For candidates residing in:\nAlaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York City, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia the range is $151,340 - $249,780.\n All other locations the range is $131,600 - $217,200.\nA combination of factors will be considered, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, etc.\nBENEFITS:\nWe offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employees’ health, financial security, and well-being.
