In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing projects and ensuring continuity in the absence of the Senior Project Manager (SPM). You’ll work closely with clients, Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, and internal teams to facilitate all aspects of permitting, maintain accurate project records, and deliver high-quality outcomes on time. This role will support projects throughout the Long Island region and requires the ability to travel to local municipalities and AHJs as needed.\nWhat You’ll Do\nServe as backup to the Senior Project Manager, tracking project milestones, filings, permits, approvals, and occupancy updates.\nManage projects end-to-end, ensuring quality control, timely deliverables, and accurate records.\nReview new projects, gather required information, and prepare municipality applications (filings, permits, objections, variances).\nFacilitate team communication and provide guidance or training to personnel.\nMake timely decisions and solve problems while maintaining strong organizational and analytical skills.\nAttend city/jurisdictional meetings, understand regulations, and represent the company professionally.\nCollaborate with design/development teams and interpret plans, maps, and construction documents.\nAssist with project-related accounting, billing, and reporting.\nTravel as needed to Long Island municipalities and AHJs for in-person submissions, meetings, follow-ups, and other project needs.\nDevelop strategies and solutions with supervisor for project challenges or issues.\nWhat You’ll Bring\nRequired:\n2-4 years of experience in the construction or permitting industry.\nBachelor’s degree in architecture, urban planning, engineering, or a related technical field.\nStrong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and work independently.\nKnowledge of Microsoft software.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills.\nAbility and willingness to travel to Long Island municipalities and AHJs as required.\nExperience working with municipal permitting processes and requirements.\nPreferred:\nExperience with Long Island permitting processes and local AHJs.\nExperience with new building and construction projects.\nFamiliarity with client-facing consulting roles.\nWork Environment & Schedule\nThis position is based in Long Island, NY, with a hybrid schedule.\nStandard working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.\nEmployees are expected to report to the NYC or NJ office 1-2 days per week.\nTravel to Long Island client sites or municipal agencies is required as needed.\nCompensation & Benefits\nSalary range: $75,000-$90,000, based on knowledge, skills, and experience.\nComprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, and 401K plan with a match.\nPaid time off: holiday, vacation, sick time, personal and birthday.\nCareer development and growth opportunities.\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nMilrose Consultants, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
