We are known for our hands-on, real-world approach and our commitment to building strong, collaborative relationships with every client.\nPosition Overview\nWe’re looking for aSr. Project Manager to join our Architecture team. In this role, you’ll lead and manage multiple new or restoration and rehabilitation projects across New York City. You’ll work closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project execution from investigation through close-out.\nWhat You’ll Do\nLead medium to large-scale architectural projects with minimal supervision.\nManage restoration, rehabilitation, adaptive reuse, and ground-up new construction projects from investigation through construction administration.\nMaintain client relationships and act as primary liaison for project communication and documentation.\nConsult across all project phases including investigation, design, budgeting, documentation, filing, construction administration, and close-out.\nConsult on roofing and sub-grade waterproofing portion of the project.\nOversee the production of technical drawings and project documents, including but not limited too, facade system design and detailing, specifications, AutoCAD drawings.\nEnsure quality control and adherence to project specifications and NYC building codes.\nTroubleshoot project-specific issues and implement timely solutions.\nReview shop and site inspection reports.\nWhat You’ll Bring\nRequired:\n5+ years of experience in architecture, façade restoration, building envelope consulting, or a related field.\nBachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.\nExperience leading both existing building restoration/rehabilitation projects and ground-up new construction projects.\nExperience managing projects from investigation through construction administration and close-out.\nWorking knowledge of NYC building codes and filing processes.\nStrong technical writing, client management, communication, and organizational skills.\n\nPreferred:\nExperience with adaptive reuse and conversion projects, including commercial-to-residential conversions.\nNYC DOB Scaffold User Certification (4-Hour Supported and 16-Hour Suspended).\nFISP experience and knowledge of façade compliance requirements.\nRegistered Architect (RA) license or actively pursuing licensure.\nFamiliarity with AutoCAD and other drafting/design software.\nWork Environment & Schedule\nThis position is based in New York, NY, with an on-site schedule.\nStandard working hours are Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.\nTravel requirements: Fieldwork expected ~25% of the time.\nCompensation & Benefits\nSalary range: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00, based on knowledge, skills, and experience.\nComprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, and 401K plan with a match.\nPaid time off: Holiday, vacation, sick time, personal and birthday.\nCareer development and growth opportunities.\nSurface Design, a wholly owned subsidiary of Milrose Consultants, LLC, is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
