In this role, you’ll collaborate with a team of project managers and drive successful execution of high-profile and complex permitting projects in the DC, MD, and VA region. You’ll work closely with clients, municipal agencies, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless, on-time project delivery while advancing best-in-class service standards.\nWhat You’ll Do\nManage the full lifecycle of permit-related projects-from initial filing to certificate of occupancy or completion.\nServe as the primary communication hub for all assigned projects:Providing proactive status updates to the Manager, internal Project Management team, and clients on a daily and weekly cadence\nEscalating issues before they become delays\nEnsuring no stakeholder is left waiting for critical information\nServe as a direct point of contact for clients, bringing professionalism, responsiveness, care, and strong interpersonal communication skills to every interaction; maintain and strengthen client relationships through consistent communication, reliable follow-through, and a service-first, solutions-oriented mindset.\nDemonstrate flexibility in meeting client demands within a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.\nMaintain detailed project records and provide regular, structured status updates to clients and internal management teams.\n\nCoordinate and communicate with clients, plans examiners, and internal teams.\nOversee deliverables including entitlements, timelines, and risk tracking.\nEnsure compliance with internal procedures and project quality standards.\nPrepare reports, documentation, and milestone updates for leadership and clients.\nContribute to productivity goals and continuous improvement efforts.\nServe as a mentor for other project team members\nWhat You’ll Bring\nRequired:\nStrong, proactive communication skills - both written and verbal - with a demonstrated ability to keep clients and stakeholders informed before they ask for updates, set clear expectations, and communicate delays or issues before they escalate \nStrong initiative and a genuine desire to learn: this role requires someone who takes ownership, digs in independently, and actively builds expertise in an evolving field\nStrong organizational and problem-solving skills with ability to multitask\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively across internal departments\nProven experience collaborating with internal and external project teams, with the ability to motivate, delegate, and drive accountability across multiple priorities.\nAbility to work on complex projects simultaneously\nProficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools. \n5+ years of experience in permitting and / or entitlements in the Mid-Atlantic region.\nMust reside in Maryland, Virginia, or Washington DC\nPreferred:\nKnowledge of permitting workflows, municipal codes, and development processes.\nExperience with multi-state or national rollouts in retail, hospitality, or commercial sectors.\nBachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field.\nWork Environment & Schedule\nThis position is remote with a focus on the Mid-Atlantic Region (DC, VA, MD).\nStandard working hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30:00am - 5:00pm, minimum 40 hours/week.\nTravel requirements: Must be willing to travel to building departments in this region for in-person submissions or meetings, when required.
