The training position is designed to prepare you for a front-line supervisory position in our Service department, within 18-30 months, depending on performance and position availability.\nSalary Range: $60,000 - $70,000/year (no bonus potential)\nResponsibilities\nAs a Supervisor In Training, you will:\nGain a deeper understanding of all operational aspects of the Service department\nLead by example and provide performance coaching, training, and mentorship to team members\nLearn administrative procedures related to supervising (payroll, scheduling, interviewing and hiring and performance management. \nLearn more about the systems, reports, metrics and data that drive our business\nResponsibilities learned and performed in first 6-12 months:\nRegularly shadow an experienced Supervisor or individual as key tasks and topics come up\nAssist in motivating, training, guiding, and counseling team members within assigned departments to increase productivity and accuracy.\nComplete required online technology and systems training\nComplete on-the-job training in job-specific systems and applications\nReview and interpret daily, weekly, monthly and yearly reports and data\nUnderstand all operational aspects of the assigned department(s), including inbound/outbound freight, service options, dispatch, parts lookup, back order review, parts sales, inventory, customer service and labor planning. \nResponsibilities learned and performed at 9-12 Months + :\nTake the lead on several daily supervisory tasks, continuing to periodically shadow more experienced Supervisors or individuals on advanced issues or topics \nDirectly supervise 1-5 employees, including: coaching, training, performance management, time-keeping and payroll processing, scheduling and interviewing\nReceive both formal and on-the-job training in more advanced subjects such as Interviewing Skills, Effective Communication, Performance Management and Progressive Discipline. \nEffectively leverage systems and available data to manage daily operations and respond to business challenges; making recommendations and adjustments as needed\nParticipate in department projects or continuous improvement goals. Partner with other employees across the organization on projects and initiatives related to Parts or Service.\nQualifications\nCandidates will have a minimum of 1 year customer service experience in a retail, distribution center or manufacturing environment.\nHighly driven, self-motivated with ambition to learn and succeed\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent\nExcellent customer service skills\nProficient in the use of a computer and related software (Word, Excel, etc.) \nStrong written and verbal communication skills \nStrong problem-solving skills\nDetail oriented with a high level of accuracy\nAbility to perform duties with a sense of urgency, exceeding customer expectations \nExcellent organizational skills\nAbility to work in a dynamic fast paced environment\nAbility to manage high volume workflow \nExisting supervisors (external applicants) with less than 3 years of experience in a supervisory capacity are also encouraged to apply - prior supervisory experience is welcome!\nThis job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
