Reporting to the Coordinator, Recreation, this position delivers Spin and Sculpt (strength training) fitness classes appropriate for all levels and abilities of participants. Successful candidates must be able to work variable hours including weekday and weekend mornings, weekday lunch hour, and/or weekday evenings.\nMajor Job Responsibilities\nDeliver and conduct Spin and Sculpt fitness programs following the required industry standards and existing class descriptions.\n\nModify classes to appeal to all fitness levels of the program participants\n\nCreate a welcoming, safe and positive atmosphere for participants to actively participate\n\nSet-up and take down required equipment\n\nMaintain a safe and clean facility; including proper usage and storage of equipment\n\nReport any accidents, incidents, concerns or site damage to the immediate Supervisor\n\nSubmit all required forms ensuring accuracy and completeness of information to immediate Supervisor\n\nEstablish positive relationships, clear communication channels and work cooperatively with all staff and participants\n\nProvide excellent customer service\n\nAttend and participate in mandatory staff functions: training, meetings and allocated program times\n\nComply with all health and safety practices as it relates to the work, standard operating guidelines and the Occupational Health and Safety Act\n\nPerform all other duties as assigned in accordance with department objectives\n\nEducation & Experience\nMinimum Qualification\nSecondary school diploma\n\nOne (1) year instructing experience in a minimum of one fitness discipline\n\nValid group fitness instructor certification (Canfitpro F.I.S or equivalent).\n\nValid Spin instructor certification (Eg.
