This role works as a key member of cross-functional New Product Development teams, contributing technical solutions, supporting engineering decisions, and delivering products that meet customer needs and business objectives.\nDuties and Responsibilities\n· Work with cross-functional teams to design, validate, and launch Hand Tool New Product Development projects.\n· Develop product designs and engineering solutions that meet end-user needs, performance requirements, and project objectives.\n· Develop component and product specifications that achieve functional requirements while aligning with manufacturing process capabilities.\n· Evaluate product designs with respect to materials, manufacturing methods, reliability, quality, and cost to support sound engineering decisions.\nPerform engineering calculations and software-aided analyses in the following areas:Mechanical stress\nTolerance stack\nMechanism design and force transmission\nProduct durability and failure\nErgonomic evaluation and user-focused design optimization\n\nDevelop and analyze testing programs to support design decisions and product validation.\nIndependently communicate test results, technical findings, and recommendations to project stakeholders.\nSupport manufacturing teams and suppliers in troubleshooting technical issues and implementing design improvements.\nConduct competitive product evaluations, technical investigations, and root cause analyses to support product improvements and future product development opportunities.\nJob Requirements\nBachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.\n2+ years of design experience.\nProficiency in 3D CAD systems including Creo (Pro/E), SolidWorks, NX, or similar CAD platforms\nExperience applying engineering analysis tools to support mechanical design and development activities.\nDemonstrated mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of engineering materials, mechanical properties, and manufacturing processes.\nDemonstrated ability to work independently while effectively collaborating across functions.\nWillingness to learn skills outside primary areas of expertise.\nHigh interest in understanding end-user applications and job site needs.\nAbility to travel up to 10% (travel includes Domestic and International).\nMilwaukee Tool is an equal opportunity
