To learn more about our story click HERE.\nThe Firmware Test Engineer II will collaborate and establish trusting relationships with cross-functional engineering and testing teams to support Test Management across the firmware verification lifecycle. You will help translate requirements into clear, testable, traceable and automation-ready verification solutions that support new product development deliverables at key milestones.\nYou will also be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:\nReview firmware, hardware, and system requirements for clarity, completeness, and testability.\nIdentify requirement gaps, ambiguities, risks, and traceability issues.\nDesign and maintain test cases for firmware features and subsystems of low- to mid-level complexity with supervision from Senior/Principal engineers.\nSupport HIL test development by identifying needed interfaces, instrumentation, and test resources.\nDevelop and maintain Python-based automated test scripts.\nConfigure and execute tests using HIL systems, development hardware, and laboratory equipment.\nAnalyze test failures and help isolate issues to firmware, hardware, test automation, or test setup.\nDocument test results, objective evidence, and defects with clear, reproducible details.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile projects and participate in technical reviews.\nContribute to reusable test assets, automation frameworks, process improvements, and continuous learning.\nUse Agile methods to define tasks, provide estimates, and communicate progress to ensure adherence to schedule and Milwaukee Tool’s processes.\nSchedule, develop agendas for, lead, and document technical meetings and formal presentations.\nWhat TOOLS you will bring with you:\nBachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field\n2+ years of experience with verification and validation testing, embedded systems and/or PCBA design.\nExperience with requirements management, defect tracking, source control, or peer review tools such as JAMA, Azure DevOps, Jira, Polarion, or similar platforms.\nAbility to read schematics and datasheets and apply a working understanding of digital circuits and firmware/electronics interaction.\nExperience developing or reviewing test cases or test procedures from requirements.\nWorking proficiency in Python, including the ability to write, execute, and debug test scripts.\nFamiliarity with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, electronic loads, data acquisition systems, or multimeters.\nStructured problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate failures across software, firmware, hardware, and test setup boundaries.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document requirements gaps, test rationale, results, and defects clearly.\nExperience collaborating cross-functionally outside of your core discipline which includes accepting technical feedback, managing assigned work, and exercising sound judgment with appropriate guidance.\nAbility to travel up to 10%, domestically and internationally.\nOther TOOLS, we prefer you to have:\nExposure HIL testing, simulation, test-fixture development, or automated test systems.\nExperience with National Instruments hardware, TestStand, VeriStand, or LabVIEW.\nExperience with black-box and white-box testing, bare-metal firmware, embedded C or C++, unit testing, or structural testing methods.\nExposure to DevOps, automated regression testing, or continuous integration and
