To learn more about our story click HERE.\nYour Role on Our Team\nThe Quality Technician I will be responsible for ensuring the quality of all products produced meet agreed upon standards and expectations.\nThe Quality Technician I will demonstrate the ability to put people and process first at all times to ensure Milwaukee Tool’s unwavering devotion to a robust quality culture. This position is the standard bearer for who we are and the obsession we have with being the market leader in Hand Tools. A Quality Technician I is charged with overseeing the quality of the production floor. The ability to effectively communicate to the team is crucial to the continued success and development of the personnel and equipment managed. Through resourcing of timely product inspections and audits, the Quality Technician I position is tasked with the short- and long-term success of the Manufacturing Quality Team.\nYou’ll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:\nKey contributor of the manufacturing quality assurance organization by performing daily audits of the manufacturing process to ensure all products and processes are abiding by the specifications and standards set by the leadership teams\n\nUser of test lab equipment such as tensile/torsion testers, hardness testers, metallurgical equipment (cut/mount/polish, optical and stereo microscopes), and other various test equipment\n\nOperate CMM and VMM measuring machines and user of handheld devices such as calipers, micrometers, height/snap/pin gauges and other various devices to support metrology needs\n\nInitiate Quality System documentation, such as Inspections, Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMR’s), and quality alerts\n\nComplete dimensional inspections of incoming raw material\n\nAbility to navigate document repository web page to locate inspection reports, blueprints and other quality documents\n\nParticipate in gage R&R studies as needed\n\nSupport and mentor manufacturing operators\n\nEffectively communicate across shifts and weekend work within internal teams and cross-functional teams\n\nSupport Operator instruction/ training on new procedures or techniques\n\nPerform basic math;
