To learn more about our story click HERE.\nTheSr Electrical Engineer - Battery Electronics will lead the design and implementation of testing of embedded systems and identify engineering trends to drive strategies and Milwaukee Tool’s technical direction. You will work through the product development process in a team environment interacting with cross-functional stakeholders such as hardware, firmware, product development, and reliability engineers.This position will sit at our Headquarters located in Brookfield, Wisconsin.\nYou’ll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:\nExecute a lead role for the design, prototype, test and troubleshoot embedded electronics hardware and firmware for mid to high complexity projects. \nResearch and engage with prospective suppliers on selection of new technology including Lithium-Ion Battery Management ASICs, microcontrollers, Power Devices, and other analog and digital ICs.\nProvide expertise and engineering support on high complexity projects.\nDemonstrate Milwaukee Tools Culture of high performance and agility by independently creating Work Breakdown Structure for your work, driving to critical milestones, and giving candid communications up and down the organization on design progress and barrier removal.\nUse laboratory equipment to debug and develop your design with oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, spectrum analyzers, ESD/EMC, data acquisition systems, and analysis software.\nEffectively communicate and motivate up, down and across the organization to a diverse range of technical and non-technical team members. \nDrive urgency in project schedules and accountability for establishing and achieving key project metrics that meet the organization’s needs. \nIndependently track projects to ensure adherence to schedule and the Milwaukee process. \nWhat TOOLS you’ll bring with you:\nBachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.\n5+ years of experience in the Embedded Electronics design field including16/32 bitmicrocontroller-basedcircuits for measurement and power control.\nDemonstrated design experience in power management with ultra-low power embedded hardware and firmware implementations.\nStrong knowledge of industry best practices for design documentation, circuit simulation, schematic capture, layout, and prototype verification testing.\nMust be proficient in creation of firmware for purposes of technologyevaluations/investigations.\nProven ability to create a Work Breakdown Structure, drive to completion, and communicate progress and escalate barrier removal needs to management.\nSelf-motivated, organized, efficient, process oriented with a strong work ethic. \nExcellent problem-solvingskills, exercisesindependent judgement and works well under pressure in a dynamic environment.\nAbility to travel 10% of the time (domestic and international).\nOther TOOLS we prefer you to have:\nMaster of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.\nPreviousPCBAdesign experience in Lithium-Ion Battery circuits for high volume products.\nFundamental understanding of Lithium-Ion battery management strategies and circuits
