We create Best in Class products by leveraging advanced analysis fabrics, extensive testing regimes, state-of-the-art manufacturing processes and cross-functional agility.\nUnder the direction of Product Safety and Regulatory leadership, you will serve as a senior technical resource responsible for evaluating and managing product safety and regulatory compliance risks throughout the product lifecycle. You will lead hazard analysis activities, provide regulatory guidance to cross-functional teams, support global compliance strategies, and mentor developing engineers while ensuring products meet applicable safety, regulatory, and certification requirements.\nYou'll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities: \nBe able to evaluate information and render opinion as to the safety of a concept, design, or product. \nServe as the technical product safety lead for assigned product categories, platforms, or complex programs, utilizing hazard-based analysis techniques to develop safety opinions and recommendations regarding the safety of product concepts, designs, and proposed changes. \nAdvise Project Leaders, Engineers and Designers regarding safety requirements including tests and design constraints to minimize risk of injury and/or property damage. \nCommunicate with external customers regarding product safety matters. \nCoordinate with cross-functional teams to incorporate relevant standards, regulations, and internal safety expectations into product safety analyses, and clearly communicate the requirements to technical and non-technical cross-functional stakeholders. \nSupervise product safety testing, including preparation of test sample(s), execution of the test(s), test reporting and data analysis. \nResolve ambiguous or higher-risk safety questions by applying engineering judgment, standards knowledge, field experience, test evidence, and consultation with appropriate internal or external authorities. \nIncorporate lessons learned from post-sale safety feedback, field issues, claims, incidents, quality data, and corrective action activity into new product/project reviews. \nMentor and onboard other engineers by coaching technical judgment, facilitation skills, documentation quality, escalation discipline, and cross-functional communication. \nReview and provide feedback for operator's manuals and on-product markings. \nAssist the Department Director in the execution of recalls. \nBe conversant with the latest OSHA requirements and industry safety standards, rules or regulations.
