The ideal candidate boasts proficiency in Java, Selenium, Jira, Copado, data testing, API testing, Portal , Salesforce and SAP/NetSuite testing, plus practical experience implementing AI tools in testing. This role demands excellent QA Skills coupled with an Automation First Mindset. Positive behaviour and excellent communication skills are essential for this role.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nProviding quality consulting and driving the delivery of testing efforts in the project.\nChampion Quality Engineering within the team.\nProviding guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.\n Developing and maintaining QA frameworks.\n Devise and execute comprehensive test strategies, plans, and scripts for functional, regression, and integration testing.\n Demonstrate versatility in functional and automation testing.\n Good exposure to non-functional and negative testing.\nConduct thorough data testing to ensure data integrity and accuracy.\nPerform API testing to validate the functionality, reliability, and performance of API endpoints.\nLead Salesforce testing efforts, ensuring all customizations and integrations are thoroughly tested and meet business requirements.\nLead hands-on AI implementation in QA: evaluate, pilot and roll out AI testing tools (for example GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT/Azure OpenAI, Copado AI, Tricentis Tosca, mabl, Testim, Applitools) and measure their impact on coverage, cycle time and defect leakage.\nBuild prompt libraries and AI-assisted workflows that generate test cases and test data from requirements, user stories and Jira tickets, and summarise test failures.\nEmbed AI capabilities in CI/CD (self-healing locators, risk-based test selection, automated defect triage), with human review of AI output and appropriate data-privacy controls.\nTest Salesforce and NetSuite AI-enabled features and integrations for accuracy, bias, data leakage and prompt-injection risk.\nEffectively manage and track defects via Jira, ensuring meticulous documentation and timely resolution.\nContributing to the planning, estimation, and refinement of stories, epics, and design changes as part of an Agile Scrum team.\nRefining acceptance criteria into testable units and converting those into automated tests that execute efficiently and reliably.\nIntegrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines and ensuring successful automation as part of our standard build process.\nReporting, reproducing, and helping development resolve defects – emphasis on troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and prevention of similar issues in the future.\nContributing to design/code reviews for product and test code.\n\nRequired Skills And Experience\n\n8+ yrs. experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test (similar role).\nExtensive experience of building test automation frameworks from scratch.\nStrong proficiency in Java\nExperience in any automation tools like Selenium, Playwright\nTop coding skills, conducting effective code reviews, and coaching the juniors to raise their coding proficiency.\nHands-on experience with Jira for defect management and tracking.\nExtensive experience in data testing and ensuring data integrity.\nExpertise in API automation testing, including using tools like Postman or similar.\nClear understanding of how to manage risk through negative testing, boundary/limits testing, load/soak testing, and other test aspects as appropriate, including system integration, performance/scale, security.\nSolid experience in Salesforce testing, including customizations and integrations.\nDemonstrable experience implementing AI tools in a QA or engineering team, with measurable results (for example reduced test-authoring time or maintenance effort).\nHands-on experience with AI coding and testing tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT/Azure OpenAI, Copado AI, Tricentis, mabl, Applitools or similar), LLM APIs and prompt engineering.\nUnderstanding of AI risks and governance, and how to validate AI-generated tests and AI-enabled features.\nWorking knowledge of NetSuite testing alongside Salesforce, and of wider IT systems and integrations (APIs, middleware, SSO, data platforms).\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nAvailability to work in UK hours.\n\nAdditional Desired Experience\n\nWorking knowledge of public cloud, especially AWS.\nExperience testing fault resilient services.\nExperience with Agile Scrum.\nExperience in deep diving into logs, code, and other elements to understand and solve problems.\nKnowledge of Copado for CI/CD processes\nSolid DB understanding (types, schemas, SQL queries, basic operations) and ability to incorporate database-side validation into automated tests.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nBachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.\nRelevant certifications in QA, Salesforce, or related technologies.\n\nLI-GK1\n\nBelonging at Mimecast\n\nCybersecurity is a community effort.
