You’ll work closely with Product, Design, QA, and other engineers to deliver meaningful improvements for our customers and the businesses they serve.\nYou’ll contribute to well-scoped projects with support from your team, continue growing your technical depth, and help create software that powers real-world wellness experiences around the globe.\nYou’ll likely spend time working on:\nBuild and maintain backend systems and applications that support Mindbody products\nCollaborate with Product, Design, QA, and Engineering to design, implement, test, and release product improvements\nContribute to secure, scalable services using thoughtful engineering practices\nParticipate in code reviews with clear, constructive feedback\nApply engineering best practices, including automated testing, monitoring, and maintainable code\nLearn and contribute across one or more technical areas within your team’s codebase\nEngage in retrospectives and team discussions with a focus on continuous improvement\nKeep customer needs in mind while building tools that help wellness businesses grow\nExperience You Bring\n2+ years of experience programming large-scale SaaS products\nExperience building backend services with an object-oriented language such as C# or Java\nExperience designing and architecting backend services\nExperience designing and working with microservice architecture\nExperience with monitoring systems such as New Relic or Kibana\nFamiliarity with SDLC, programming design patterns, and Agile methodology\nAbility to evaluate the impact of new features and identify potential application risks\nClear, professional communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem solving\nThe Role You’ll Play\nYou’ll help keep assigned projects on track by aligning people, priorities, and resources to deliver key milestones. In this role, you’ll partner closely with design and business teams to bring useful, usable, and customer-centered product experiences to life\nBuild and manage a talented backend development organization focused on delivering meaningful product features\nLead, coach, and develop software engineering managers and technical team members\nEstablish development metrics and regular processes for assessing performance and identifying opportunities for improvement\nCreate consistent project management and software development processes that support high-quality delivery in rapid iterations\nApply strong design, business, and technical judgment to accelerate releases while advancing long-term product goals\nChampion software development excellence, customer centricity, and continuous improvement across the organization\nPresent and evangelize prototyped concepts to diverse audiences through both formal and informal presentations\nFacilitate cross-functional teams, contribute to short- and long-term planning, and help resolve challenges constructively\nExperience You Bring\n7+ years of hands-on experience as a web development engineer\n7+ years of experience managing backend development teams\n5+ years of experience managing and leading technical employees\nExperience developing products for global markets\nExperience working in a highly agile or Scrum environment\nDemonstrated ability to recruit, mentor, and develop strong software engineering teams\nStrong judgment and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across design, business, and technical teams\nA commitment to serving customers, evolving how work gets done, and creating useful, usable experiences\nTechnology:\nWe value adaptability and problem-solving over specific tools. The base salary range for this position in the United States is $100,000 - $132,000.
