Our platforms include Mindbody for fitness and wellness studios, Booker for appointment-based businesses, and Kite for large multi-location franchises, with more verticals on the way. Tens of thousands of businesses run their day-to-day operations on our products.\nAs a Software Engineer III on this team, you’ll help build the outbound marketing side of Playlist's CRM and Marketing platform - the tools our customers use to stay in touch with their clients and bring them back. That includes:\nMarketing campaigns\n\nAutomated lifecycle journeys\n\nRe-engagement and retention automation\n\nAudience and subscriber management\n\nRight now, much of this runs on a third-party marketing platform. We’re building those capabilities in-house, starting with a customer segmentation engine that lets businesses define and target audiences from their own data. There’s a lot to build, and we’re hiring engineers to make it happen.\nWhat You'll Do\nBuild and ship production code for services behind campaigns, journeys, and audience management\n\nDevelop and test APIs, ensuring customer and subscriber records stay in sync through robust data pipelines\n\nAdd features to segmentation and targeting tools, while fixing bugs and reviewing pull requests\n\nCollaborate closely with Product, Design, and senior engineers to shape solutions from well-defined tickets to larger system components\n\nHandle production issues with the team, contributing to reliability and resilience\n\nGrow into ownership of larger pieces of the system as you gain familiarity\n\nExperience You Bring\nStrong coding mindset: you care about writing great code and solving the right problems\n\nProficiency with languages like C#/.NET and TypeScript/JavaScript\nAPI design expertise and experience with microservice architecture\n\nObservability familiarity with tools like New Relic or Kibana\n\nDeep SQL knowledge and relational data modeling skills\n\nAgile mindset with strong grasp of software development lifecycle practices\n\nAbility to navigate complexity, assess tradeoffs, and execute with confidence\n\nExcellent communicator who brings others along and helps ideas stick\n\nTechnologies You Could Be Working With\nLanguages: C# and .NET / ASP.NET, React/Next.js/TypeScript\n Data: PostgreSQL / Amazon Aurora (Npgsql), Microsoft SQL Server, DynamoDB, EDW (Snowflake), Redis (AWS ElastiCache), FluentMigrator\n Architecture: Microservices on AWS including event driven (SNS, SQS, Lambda, EKS, Aurora, ElastiCache, CloudWatch, Secrets Manager, STS), with CDC pipelines and GraphQL\nMonitoring: New Relic, NLog, CloudWatch Logs\nThis list is here to show how we work today.
