Internal Kubernetes Platform SRE Lead

We are looking for an experienced Internal Kubernetes Platform SRE Lead for our client, a global financial institution, to join an international team responsible for maintaining and scaling an internal Kubernetes Platform (IKP) within a Private Cloud environment.

As an SRE Lead, you will ensure the stability, performance, and scalability of critical containerization services, manage a local team, collaborate with global teams, and contribute to process automation and reliability improvements.

Requirements

• Guarantee the availability, performance, and reliability of the internal Kubernetes platform.
• Oversee installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance of Kubernetes environments.
• Perform capacity management and troubleshoot issues across production environments.
• Act as an escalation point for complex technical problems and provide detailed root cause analysis.
• Automate operational processes, improve resilience and observability.
• Manage on-call schedules for a 5-member local team and coordinate with the Global SRE Lead.
• Participate in a monthly on-call roster (including occasional weekend support).

Benefits

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on Kubernetes administration experience.
• Strong understanding of:
  • Containerization and orchestration concepts.
  • Observability and troubleshooting tools.
  • ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, Service Meshes is a plus.
• Solid analytical skills and ability to interpret logs and monitoring dashboards.
• Excellent communication skills in English - ability to work with global teams.
• Flexibility to occasionally work late hours and take part in on-call support.
