Production Engineering Specialist

We are looking for skilled professionals to join our Production Support Team within the Payments IT Department, responsible for technical operations of Global Payments Execution, Messaging & Orchestration services.

The team operates in a mission-critical environment using Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, across diverse technologies ranging from vendor solutions to in-house microservices. With increasing real-time demands from customers, our main goals are platform availability, stability, and reliability of services.

Requirements

• Provide end-to-end production support, including incident resolution and post-resolution problem management
• Perform detailed root cause analysis for high-impact incidents and drive preventive actions
• Support implementations and releases, collaborating with Vendors, Project Teams, Incident Management and Senior Management
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (Shell, Bash, Python)
• Support testing activities for new implementations and system enhancements
• Work closely with global stakeholders, ensuring effective communication across regions
• Drive process optimization and redesign leveraging new technologies for performance improvements
• Implement monitoring solutions and ensure continuous service observability (e.g., Splunk, AppDynamics)
• Participate in data analysis, reconciliations and root cause investigations for recurring application issues
• Contribute actively to team objectives while supporting DevOps practices and Agile delivery

Benefits

• Fluency in English (spoken and written)
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (cloud application deployments, networking, storage)
• 3+ years of experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, strong understanding of database components
• Advanced Linux administration and scripting (Bash) - 3+ years
• 2+ years of experience with Kubernetes deployments
• Solid experience with system monitoring and troubleshooting tools (Splunk, AppDynamics)
• Proven scripting skills for automation workflows (Python, Bash; Java is a plus)
• Strong understanding of application infrastructure layers: OS, storage, network, database, middleware, application
• Experience in CI/CD automation, pipeline engineering and control adoption
• Excellent triage capability under pressure, strong prioritization skills
• Previous experience working in Agile and DevOps operating environments
• Ability to interact effectively with global teams at all technical levels

Nice to Have

• Experience in Payment Systems (SWIFT, SEPA) and Financial Messaging
• Familiarity with Hazelcast and orchestration tools (Puppet, Ansible)
