Senior Software Engineer (Foundations - Developer Productivity)

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team responsible for building and maintaining developer-focused tools and services - including CI/CD pipelines, Golden Paths, and AI-driven productivity solutions.

This is a hands-on role with significant autonomy and ownership. You’ll collaborate directly with other engineering squads and stakeholders to deliver solutions that enable developers to work faster, safer, and smarter - particularly through AI adoption and developer platform modernization.

Requirements

• Contribute to the design, development, and improvement of engineering platform services (CI/CD, observability tooling, AI integrations).
• Engage with developers and product squads to understand challenges and provide support that unblocks delivery.
• Take part in daily stand-ups and informal peer collaboration - using Kanban to adapt work priorities to operational needs.
• Provide in-hours support, assisting teams with pipeline issues, deployment challenges, or infrastructure incidents.
• Collaborate in pair or mob programming sessions, sharing knowledge and building cross-squad context.
• Exercise autonomy in shaping solutions - prioritising high-impact work and taking complete ownership from problem through to outcome.
• Participate in technical discussions, propose improvements, and guide peers through influence rather than hierarchy.

Technical Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in software engineering across infrastructure, platform, or tooling domains.
• Proficiency in one or more development languages such as Java, Go, Python, or JavaScript.
• Strong foundation in CI/CD processes, pipelines, and developer-enablement platforms.
• Experience with cloud-native environments and related DevOps or SRE practices.
• Familiarity with AI-driven tools, coding assistants, or the use of machine learning in engineering workflows.
• Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and stakeholder-interaction skills.
