Technical SME / AI Lead Developer

You'll step in as a Technical SME, working closely with Product, Engineering, Architecture, Data, Security, Risk/Compliance, Operations, and business stakeholders to build the UK GPB AI proposal generation application - from discovery through delivery and operational handover. Your role will be central to translating business outcomes and architecture direction into clear requirements, designs, and implementation-ready backlog items - not just execution.

Requirements

• Leading the build-out of the AI proposal generation application: workflow design, agent orchestration, portfolio/content retrieval, reusable Skills, MCP Tool integration, output formatting, evaluation, and human review controls.
• Contributing hands-on to AI Agent workflows, Skills, MCP Tools, integration components, prototypes, and preview/export capability while guiding engineering teams on business context and delivery constraints.
• Developing and validating workflows that retrieve portfolio data, source approved content, assemble client-ready proposal sections, apply disclosures, and provide traceable evidence for review.
• Defining requirements for data sourcing, transformation, quality, lineage, metadata, governance, tool contracts, validation rules, and traceability.
• Producing feature briefs, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, data mappings, dependency logs, decision records, and readiness packs.
• Supporting design reviews, risk/control assessments, assurance activities, and responsible AI controls.
• Capturing non-functional requirements across performance, resilience, security, auditability, scalability, usability, supportability, and observability.
• Defining evaluation, monitoring, regression, prompt/tool versioning, telemetry, golden dataset, and success metrics for production AI solutions.

Benefits

• 5+ years in technology delivery, system analysis, or product/solution design in complex or regulated environments.
• Proven experience in:
  • Designing AI-enabled workflows (RAG, agent orchestration, tool integration, structured outputs).
  • Delivering data-driven and automation-centric solutions.
  • API-based integrations and event-driven processes.
• Strong technical skills: coding, configuration, prototyping, integration troubleshooting, and CI/CD awareness.
• Familiarity with secure design, IAM, resilience, scalability, and compliance in highly regulated settings (banking or financial services).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management, balancing technical and business priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience in investment proposal, document composition platforms, or client reporting.
• Knowledge of AI Agent patterns, LLMOps, golden datasets, evaluation strategies, and regulatory AI governance.
• Previous exposure to Private Banking solutions or systems like Aladdin.
