Candidates located within approximately 35 miles of Rochester, NY may be asked to work from the office more frequently based on business or team needs.\nCompensation\n$90,000 - $140,000\nWhat You’ll Accomplish\nBuild, test, scale, and maintain cloud-native data pipelines, data models, and warehouse structures for SchoolTool’s dashboards and analytics.\nDevelop analytics solutions with Python, Apache Spark, Snowflake, SQL and NoSQL databases, and tools like Amazon QuickSight, Tableau, or Power BI.\nContribute to large-scale, complex data solutions, from data discovery and cleaning through model selection, validation, and deployment.\nEngage directly with customer stakeholders, deliver work aligned with their roadmap and vision, and serve as their primary contact when needed.\nDeliver well-defined data solutions independently and contribute to technical design decisions.\nBuild technical and non-technical connections within your team, across Mindex delivery teams, and with customer stakeholders.\nApply AI-assisted engineering practices and the AI DLC across planning, design, development, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting.\nDemonstrate an AI-first mindset by effectively leveraging AI-assisted tools and technologies to enhance productivity, accelerate problem-solving, improve quality, automate routine tasks, and drive innovation in the delivery of solutions and services.\nRequirements\nAS or BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Physical Science, Mathematics, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\n3-5 years of data engineering experience, including implementing a data pipeline for an enterprise application.\nExperience with OLTP and OLAP databases, plus hands-on experience with serverless platforms such as AWS Lambda and/or AWS Glue.\nExperience with infrastructure as code using AWS CloudFormation and Terraform, and familiarity with DevOps tools like AWS CodePipeline, Azure DevOps, or GitLab.\nStrong communication skills to explain complex information clearly to your team and customer stakeholders.\nStrong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on exceptional customer service.\nHighly organized and accurate, with strong initiative and follow-through.\nComfortable working independently and in a collaborative, self-organizing team, asking questions when needed and giving and accepting feedback.\nUses AI to augment expertise and decision-making while maintaining ownership, accountability, and professional judgment for final work products and outcomes.\nIdentifies opportunities to use AI to streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, improve efficiency, and increase business value.\nMaintains awareness of emerging AI capabilities, tools, and best practices and proactively identifies opportunities to apply them in the workplace.\nDemonstrates sound judgment in the ethical, secure, and compliant use of AI technologies while protecting confidential, customer, and company information.\nLicenses & Certifications:\nAWS Certification (Associate or Foundational) or applicable industry certifications are a plus.\nWhy Join Mindex?\nFor more than 30 years, Mindex has helped organizations solve complex business challenges through custom software, cloud, data, and AI solutions.
