Mindsite is looking for a Reverse Engineer to design and build resilient web data acquisition systems, working across browser automation, network analysis, and scalable crawling infrastructure.\nYou’ll work on technically challenging problems involving dynamic websites, complex data flows, and large-scale data collection while building reliable systems that power Mindsite’s e-commerce analytics platform.\nWhat We’re Looking For:\n3+ years of experience in software engineering, reverse engineering, web scraping, crawling, or a similar technical role.\nStrong proficiency in Python and asynchronous programming.\nAdvanced understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, sessions, cookies, headers, and request lifecycles.\nHands-on experience with browser automation tools, especially Playwright or Selenium.\nStrong understanding of how modern websites work, including JavaScript-rendered content, XHR, GraphQL, and client-side applications.\nExperience analyzing network traffic and identifying relevant data endpoints using tools such as HAR files and browser developer tools.\nExperience building reliable data acquisition or crawling systems that operate at scale.\nUnderstanding of session management, rate limiting, retry strategies, and adaptive traffic management.\nExperience with distributed systems, job orchestration, or large-scale data processing is a strong plus.\nExperience deploying production systems in cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is a plus.\nStrong problem-solving skills and curiosity to investigate complex technical problems from first principles.\nAbility to work closely with engineering and data teams to define schemas, requirements, and delivery processes.\nFluency in English is a plus.\nIn This Role, You Will:\nDesign and develop robust, scalable web data acquisition and crawling systems.\nExtract structured data from dynamic and JavaScript-rendered websites.\nAnalyze network traffic and application behavior to understand how data is delivered and identify relevant endpoints.\nBuild reliable mechanisms for retry, throttling, session management, and request handling.\nInvestigate and resolve failures across different layers of the data acquisition stack, including network, browser, and application behavior.\nBuild and maintain session management systems that support reliable long-running data collection.\nInstrument and monitor crawl success rates, failure rates, and system performance across different targets.\nAnalyze client-side behavior and request flows when required to understand how web applications communicate with their backend services.\nWork with internal teams to define data schemas, collection requirements, and delivery standards.\nContinuously improve the stability, performance, and scalability of Mindsite’s data acquisition infrastructure.\nContribute to the architecture of high-availability, production-grade crawling systems.\nWhat We Offer:\nCompetitive Compensation: Salary indexed to foreign currency rates, plus performance-based bonuses.\nFlexible Benefits: Health insurance, Apple devices, meal cards, therapy & wellness reimbursements, and more.\nTime Off That Respects You: 10 days of additional leave in your first year, plus your birthday off.\nA Culture That Builds Leaders: Join a driven, collaborative team shaping the future of e-commerce with industry leaders like P&G, Unilever, and Colgate-Palmolive.\nEndless Learning Opportunities: Work on technically challenging problems involving web technologies, large-scale data, and modern crawling infrastructure.\nAbout Mindsite\nMindsite is a fast-growing SaaS company helping brands win online through actionable e-commerce analytics.
