The DE II works under close guidance from a Senior Engineer while gaining hands-on experience with RF simulation tools, laboratory measurements, and Mini-Circuits’ product development processes.\nSalary Range: $100,000 - $124,000 per year\nJob Function:\nSupport RF design and development activities for passive RF, millimeter-wave components, packages and multi-function modules under the guidance of a Senior Engineer.\nExecute EM and circuit-level simulations using tools such as Ansys HFSS, Genesys, ADS, or CST.\nModel designs and run simulation sweeps, parametric studies, and optimizations as directed; analyze and summarize results.\nAssist with RF measurements and characterization using laboratory equipment such as Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs), Power Supplies, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, and others.\nCollect, organize, and analyze measured and simulated data to support design reviews, reports and design-related decisions.\nPrepare the necessary documentation to support Mini-Circuits’ Product Generation Process (PGP).\nSupport product characterization, qualification, and test development activities in collaboration with Product, Manufacturing, Quality and Test Engineers.\nWork with the Project Management team to plan and execute assigned tasks within the committed timelines and budget.\nSupport engineering organization in ISO Audits and Management reviews and participate in internal and external audits. \nAssist senior engineer in drafting company procedures and processes to ensure the highest level of design and manufacturing standards are achieved and maintained.\nCollaborate with peers in the creation of Intellectual Property (IP) to maintain technical relevance in materials and processes, circuital topologies, design methodologies/techniques, simulation software and modeling techniques, device characterization techniques and novel production testing strategies.\nCreate scripts and execute simulation runs to optimize the performance of passive RF, Microwave and Millimeter-Wave components.\nQualifications:\nMinimum Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) with 3 years of experience, specializing in RF design, including relevant RF coursework, RF/microwave circuit design experience through industry exposure, or RF-related academic capstone projects.\nStrong academic foundation including relevant coursework in RF and microwave engineering principles.\nTheoretical and basic practical knowledge in the design of common RF circuits such as filters, couplers, power dividers, and baluns.\nRelevant experience in the design of active components (i.e Low Noise Amplifiers, Power Amplifiers, etc.), RF systems/modules, is a plus.\nFamiliarity with EM simulation tools based on Method of Moments (MoM) and Finite Element Method (FEM) is required.\nDemonstrated experience in the employment of RF measurement test equipment.\nMust be proficient in scripting and data analysis using employing coding languages such as Python, MATLAB or other.\nAcademical publications in the RF domain are to be considered a competitive advantage.\nProfessional and positive approach, self-motivated, strong in building relationships, team player, dynamic, creative with a strong sense of discipline.\nStrong sense of accountability and ownership of assigned tasks.\nStrong relationship management, project management, problem-solving skills.\nProactive and takes initiative - seeks clarification, asks questions, and follows up on action items.\nDemonstrates curiosity and eagerness to learn, especially in RF design.\nFocused on learning, execution, and technical skill development rather than independent ownership of designs.\nSolid problem-solving ability, with willingness to break down technical problems methodically.\nOrganized, detail-oriented, and capable of producing clear technical documentation.\nPositive, team-oriented, and able to work effectively with engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams\nStrong written and verbal communication skills in English.\nComfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple parallel tasks and deadlines.\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
