You'll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation for a more connected, compassionate world.\nAbout the Role\nResponsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.\nDevelops, implements, administers compensation and incentive policy, procedures, practices, and programs.\nConducts surveys and studies labor markets to determine compensation trends; analyzes jobs, and reviews job descriptions and specifications; applies job evaluation techniques to establish equitable compensation rates within the organization as compared with rates in industry; analyzes government regulations, company policies, and agreements with labor unions to establish standard rates; reviews classification and compensation changes and makes recommendations with respect to tasks to be performed, qualifications of employee, and company policy and budgetary limitations; provides guidance and makes recommendations to line managers and generalists on all compensation issues; and interprets laws regulating compensation practices.\nPartners with Human Resources management to develop competitive initiatives to drive business strategies.\nMay be responsible for executive compensation, incentive plan and stock option administration.\nMay prepare and deliver employee communications and training programs.\nPROGRAM MANAGEMENT CAREER STREAM: Program Managers and Directors focus on tactical, operational activities for a major program with broad or ongoing impact. Levels within the program management career stream typically accomplish program objectives through matrixed employee teams and / or vendors who are not direct reports but for which the incumbent has direct accountability to lead. The majority of time is spent overseeing their area of responsibility, managing program/team performance, communicating project and operational developments, planning, prioritizing and / or directing the responsibilities of program team members. Goal achievement is typically accomplished through performance of program team members.\nDIFFERENTIATING FACTORS\nAutonomy: Manages one or more small-scale, developed or mature programs with well-defined program plans and delivery methodologies.\nIs accountable for overall program process, performance, and customer satisfaction.\nOrganizational Impact: Provides input to establishing program objectives, timelines, milestones, and budgets .\nRecommends new policies and procedures that affect program management.\nMay have budget accountability for one or more programs.\nProgram decisions are generally made only after consultation with higher level management.\nInnovation and Complexity: Problems faced are difficult, and require detailed information gathering, analysis and investigation to understand the problem.\nProblems typically impact multiple workstreams, departments or specialties .\nModifies programs management processes to improve program.\nCommunication and Influence: Communicates and leads meetings with internal and external customers and vendors, conducts briefings to higher level management team.\nSolves issues through information exchange, influence and active persuasion without direct exercise of command to gain cooperation of other parties on program execution plans.\nLeadership and Talent Management: Leads, directs and reviews the work of a team of professionals and/or vendors who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments.\nDirect involvement in daily tasks necessary for successful program execution.\nNot directly responsible for hire or fire decisions and people management.\nRequired Knowledge and Experience: Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics within one job area.\nTypically has advanced knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.\nRequires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.\nPhysical Job Requirements\nThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.\nBenefits & Compensation\nMiniMed offers a competitive salary and flexible benefits package\nAt MiniMed, we put people first.
