The role will act as the key Finance Controllership partner for the Local business and connect country operations with Regional Controllership, Financial Shared Services, Tax, Treasury and other functions.The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical accounting foundation, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and the capacity to contribute to implementation of processes and controls for a newly independent publicly listed company. The candidate must be fluent in English and Arabic.\nThis role is based in Spain (preferable location Madrid) with flexibility for hybrid or remote work. You will report to regional controllership and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure financial compliance and operational excellence. Occasional travel may be required to support business needs.\nKey Responsibilities:\nFinancial Reporting, Analysis and Internal Control\nPrepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and Local GAAP\nPerform in-depth analysis of Balance Sheet and P&L accounts, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance including preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual close deliverables, journal entries and account reconciliations.\nIdentify and communicate financial risks, trends, and opportunities to management\nMaintain a strong internal control environment and support the MiniMed internal control framework.\nPartner with Financial Shared Services to resolve accounting issues and improve and standardize processes including Payroll and Bank entries.\nMonitor financial and compliance risks and ensure appropriate remediation.\nPartner with management on accounting matters such as revenue recognition, accruals, provisions and other complex accounting topics.\nStatutory and Tax Reporting\nCoordinate statutory reporting, financial statements, local filings and Statutory and Tax audits.\nMaintain strong knowledge of Saudi accounting, regulatory and tax requirements, including relevant corporate income tax, withholding tax and VAT matters to support cross function teams for regulatory compliance\nSystems & Process Improvement\nSupport the transition to SAP S/4HANA, including data migration, testing, and process design from a financial accounting perspective\nIdentify opportunities for automation and process improvement across the accounting function\nStakeholder Collaboration\nPartner closely with cross-functional teams including Tax, Treasury, FP&A, Supply Chain, and Legal\nServe as a key point of contact for external auditors on areas of responsibility\nSupport adhoc projects and analysis as required by leadership\nAdditional Regional scope\nThe role initially focuses on the Saudi Arabia entity, with responsibilities potentially expanding over time to other countries in the Middle East or the wider region. This expanded scope may include serving as Legal Entity Controller for additional entities, providing controllership support to countries without dedicated resources, supporting statutory and tax compliance, and contributing to regional accounting and internal control initiatives.\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field. Active CPA/CA certification preferable.\nMinimum 8 years of relevant controllership, accounting, statutory reporting, audit or tax experience in a multinational environment.\nStrong US GAAP knowledge.\nDemonstrated knowledge of Saudi statutory, regulatory and tax requirements.\nExperience coordinating statutory audits and local filings.\nStrong internal controls and financial governance background.\nERP experience, preferably SAP / SAP S/4HANA.\nMust be fluent in English and Arabic.\nAbility to operate independently and influence senior stakeholders across a matrix organization.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience working with US Based Public Listing Company.\nPrevious experience in the medical device, MedTech, life sciences, or regulated manufacturing industry.\nExperience working with Big Four or other large external audit firms.\nExperience with financial reporting and analytics tools, such as Power BI, OneStream, or similar platforms.\nPhysical Job Requirements\nThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.\nBenefits & Compensation\nMiniMed offers a competitive salary and flexible benefits package\nAt MiniMed, we put people first.
