This is a hybrid role: 3-4 days in office / 1-2 days remote. Candidate will collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end tests for embedded systems and medical devices. Software Development Engineer in Test II - Embedded Software/Firmware\nThis is a Software Development Engineer in Test II - Embedded Software/Firmware role.\nResponsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.\nDesign, develop and execute functional, regression, and end-to-end tests for embedded systems and medical devices and software components.\nPrepare test plans, test cases, test reports, defect documentation, and traceability.\nWork on scripting to automate embedded systems components using Javascript/Python.\nUnderstand systems software design requirements.\nUnderstand Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication testing, including pairing, connectivity, synchronization, recovery, failover, and interoperability scenarios.\nAnalyze logs, processing failures to identify root causes in the embedded devices.\nMay work across a variety of software lifecycle activities as determined by program\nFamiliarity with AI concepts is sufficient to evaluate and collaborate with AI development teams.\nMust have experience in the following areas:\nProgramming: JavaScript and/or Python, used to build and maintain automated tests.\nEmbedded systems: hands-on experience with embedded systems and testing embedded firmware.\nFunctional testing: end-to-end functional and integration testing using HIL and SIL test benches.\nCI/CD: experience with Git and CI/CD tools such as GitLab and Jenkins. *AI tools: familiarity with AI tools for test design, scripting, or log analysis.
