As a separate entity, we anticipate leveraging increased investments to drive meaningful innovation and enhance our impact on patient care.\nWe are seeking a talented Tools & Automation Software Engineer to develop and maintain software tools, automation frameworks, and CI/CD platforms that accelerate the development of next-generation embedded medical devices. This role focuses on improving engineering productivity, software quality, test automation, compliance, and release efficiency within a regulated environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign and develop tools and automation solutions that support the software development lifecycle (SDLC).\nBuild and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines for embedded firmware, cloud, and application software.\nAutomate software build, test, validation, release, and compliance workflows.\nIntegrate automated testing frameworks, including Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) environments.\nDevelop solutions that improve traceability between requirements, source code, testing, and releases.\nImplement automated quality gates, static analysis, security scanning, and compliance reporting.\nSupport development and test infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).\nCreate dashboards and metrics that provide visibility into software quality, testing, and pipeline performance.\nEvaluate and apply AI-assisted engineering tools and workflows to improve productivity and efficiency.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.\n2+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, developer tools, test automation, or CI/CD.\nStrong programming skills in Python, C, C++, JS and scripting for automation.\nExperience with Git, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.\nExperience with Linux-based development environments and container technologies such as Docker.\nKnowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).\nStrong troubleshooting, collaboration, and technical communication skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in regulated industries such as Medical Devices, Aerospace, or Automotive.\nFamiliarity with IEC 62304, FDA software lifecycle processes, and compliance automation.\nExperience with embedded software development, ARM-based microcontrollers, and cross-compilation toolchains.\nExperience integrating SIL, HIL, simulators, and emulators into automated test environments.\nKnowledge of static analysis, MISRA compliance, cybersecurity scanning, and quality engineering tools.\nExposure to AI technologies, including Generative AI, RAG, MCP, AI agents, or AI-assisted software development tools.\nWhat You'll Bring\nA passion for automation, engineering excellence, and continuous improvement, with the ability to develop innovative solutions that enhance product quality, accelerate development, and support the delivery of safe, reliable medical devices.\nTECHNICAL SPECIALIST CAREER STREAM:\nAn individual contributor with responsibility in our technical functions to advance existing technology or introduce new technology and therapies.
