position will be based at Sedibeng, Postmasburg in the Northen Cape.\nDescription\nTo ensure the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of the Sedibeng, Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality Management System (SHEQMS) on site, while ensuring legal compliance with the applicable Legislative and client-specific requirements\nDuties and Responsibilities\n\nSHEQMS Implementation and Maintenance:\nImplement and maintain the Minopex SHEQ Management system on-site in line with corporate and statutory requirements.\nMonitor and enforce compliance with the SHEQMS and ensure site-wide awareness of the system.\nMaintain accurate and up-to-date SHEQ documentation and submit required reports to relevant stakeholders.\nLegal Compliance:Enforce compliance with all legal requirements, including the right to stop unsafe work.\nMonitor adherence to applicable sections of the applicable legislation.\nCoordinate and manage all legal appointments as per the applicable legislation.\n Risk and Hazard Management:Facilitate and oversee Risk Assessments (Baseline, IBRA and continuous risk assessments)\nIdentify hazards and ensure effective mitigation measures are implemented.\nMaintain a risk register and ensure it is reviewed and updated regularly.\nInspections, Audits, and Monitoring:Conduct regular inspections of plant, equipment, and workplace conditions and report findings with preventative or corrective action recommendations.\nParticipate in and facilitate internal and external SHEQ audits.\nMonitor site performance against legal and organizational standards and identify areas for improvement.\nIncident and Injury Management:Manage the full incident investigation process, including injury reporting, root cause analysis, and documentation.\nEnsure that incidents are reported and investigated within the prescribed legal timeframes and company policies.\nDriver corrective actions and monitor their implementation and effectiveness.\nContractor and Access control Compliance:Ensure contractor SHE files meet compliance standards before granting site access.\nMonitor contractor adherence to SHEQ requirements throughout the project or contract lifecycle.\nPolicy, Procedures, and Documentation\nCoordinate the development, review, and approval of all site-specific operational SHEQ procedures.\nEnsure document control processes are followed in line with the SHEQMS.\nCorporate Strategy Alignment:\nImplement and track progress against SHEQ objectives, KPI’s and targets as aligned with corporate and site-level strategic goals.\nReport on SHEQ performance and suggest initiatives to enhance performance and compliance.\n Qualification RequirementsMatric (Grade 12) or an equivalent qualification registered at NQF Level 4, including relevant NATED courses (e.g., N3 Certificate) where applicable.\nNational Diploma in Safety Management or related SHEQ qualification.\nHealth and Safety Management Certification (I.e., SAMTRAC/ COMSOC/ NEBOSH, etc.).\nIncident Investigation Competency (ICAM, RCAT, etc).\nRisk Management (HIRA).\nSound knowledge of MHSA, OHSA, and relevant SANS/ISO standards.\n Experience and Skills RequirementsMinimum 5 years’ experience in an operational environment\nComputer Literate in MS Office\nPresentation and report writing skills\nLegal Liability Training\nISO 9001 Quality Management Training\nISO 14001 Environmental Management Training\nISO 45001 Health and Safety Management Training\nOHSAS 18001
