Avani Living Queen's Wharf Residence are excited to expand their Housekeeping team, with Casual opportunities now available with immediate start date.

We’re looking for dedicated and detail-oriented individuals who take pride in their work and are committed to providing an exceptional guest experience.

Housekeeping Attendant

Housekeeping Attendants are responsible for ensuring our guest rooms are clean, comfortable and presented to the highest standard. This includes making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting and replenishing amenities. Housekeeping Attendants work to allocated timeframes while maintaining a strong focus on quality and attention to detail.

Common Area Cleaner

Common Area Cleaners are responsible for keeping hotel public and common areas clean, hygienic and welcoming for our guests. This can include cleaning lobbies, corridors, lifts, public bathrooms and other shared areas throughout the hotel.

Interview date: WEDNESDAY, 16TH OF SEPTEMBER 2026.

Depending on the position and property, your responsibilities may include:

  • Thoroughly cleaning and maintaining guest rooms or public/common guest areas.
  • Completing cleaning tasks efficiently within allocated timeframes and meeting daily cleaning targets.
  • Working collaboratively with team members to achieve operational goals.
  • Adhering to all health, safety and environmental standards.
  • Using cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively, with training provided.
  • Building positive and professional relationships with guests, team members and contractors.
  • Maintaining a high level of attention to detail and taking pride in delivering a clean and comfortable environment for our guests.

Shift Details

  • Monday to Sunday
  • Flexible and rotating rosters
  • Shifts may include early morning starts
  • Weekend and public holiday availability is required

Shift times may vary depending on the property and operational requirements.

Successful candidates will have:

  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is highly regarded, but not essential.
  • A strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards.
  • Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to bend, lift, stand and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • The ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively.
  • Clear and professional communication skills.
  • A positive, proactive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A willingness to learn and follow safe work practices.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
