Team members must be self-motivated, enthusiastic individuals whom provide the highest quality of customer service to every guest.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nWelcome guests in a friendly & positive manner\nDrive membership sales and Annual Fund donations as a part of the Advancement & Communications team, ensuring Guest Services meets its goal in both areas\nOperate cash drawer and ensure accuracy of daily deposits \nAddress guest needs and concerns in a proactive manner, ensuring quick resolution\nDemonstrate awareness of, and experience with, numerous Outlook Calendars across two locations\nResponsible for accurate database entry\nMonitor cleanliness in all public spaces of the museum\nOrganize and operate coat check, as needed\nOversee miscellaneous projects, as assigned\nRespond to online, phone, and in person requests \nSupport after hour events, when appropriate\nABOUT THE MINT MUSEUM\nAs the oldest art museum in North Carolina, with one of the largest collections in the Southeast, The Mint Museum offers its visitors inspiring and transformative experiences through art from around the world via innovative collections, groundbreaking exhibitions, and riveting educational programs. The Mint Museum is a non-profit, visual arts institution comprising two dynamic facilities: Mint Museum Uptown and Mint Museum Randolph.\nLocatedin what was the original branch of the United States Mint, Mint Museum Randolph opened in 1936 in Charlotte’s Eastover neighborhood as the state’s first art museum. For more information, visit www.mintmuseum.org.\nQualifications\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:\nKNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:\nBasic computer skills required, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and basic database functionality. Knowledge of fundraising fundamentals, best practices and donor software such as Altru or Raiser’s Edge is preferred. A self-starter who is positive, people-oriented, and welcoming. Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks, stay organized, and up-to-date with museum events and exhibitions.\nWORKING CONDITIONS: Flexibility to work at both locations, and offsite on occasion. Able to stand or sit for long periods of time. Occasional nights and weekends are required. Must be able to lift boxes of 25 lbs. in weight.\nDESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:\nExcellent communication skills, time management, and project management skills. Self-motivated, well organized, detail oriented, and able to effectively work independently and with a team.
