This position provides day-to-day support across recruiting, onboarding, employee records, and benefits administration, while also serving as the Museum’s ADA Coordinator - managing accommodation requests, accessibility compliance tracking, and staff training - and coordinating the volunteer and internship programs across both museum sites. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable with administrative HR process work and public-facing, relationship-driven program coordination.\nKey Responsibilities\nHR Coordination & Generalist Support\nSupport full-cycle recruiting: posting open positions, scheduling interviews, coordinating candidate communication, and assisting with reference and background checks\nCoordinate new-hire onboarding, including I-9/W-4 paperwork, HRIS setup, and orientation logistics\nMaintain accurate, compliant employee records in the HRIS and process employee status changes\nSupport benefits administration, including open enrollment logistics, employee benefits questions, and leave/PTO tracking\nAssist with payroll support functions such as timesheet review and PTO reconciliation\nHelp maintain compliance with employment law postings, recordkeeping, and documentation (FMLA, EEO, ADA Title I)\nServe as a first point of contact for general employee HR questions\nPrepare HR correspondence, templates, and routine reports\nSupport offboarding processes, including exit logistics and records closeout\nADA & Accessibility Compliance\nServe as the Museum’s designated ADA Coordinator across both sites\nManage the accommodation request process from intake through resolution\nMaintain accessibility compliance documentation and support periodic accessibility audits\nPartner with Facilities, IT, and Learning & Engagement on accessibility remediation projects\nDeliver ADA and accessibility awareness training to staff and volunteers\nTrack and report accessibility compliance metrics to HR leadership\nVolunteer & Internship Program Management\nRecruit, screen, and onboard volunteers and interns\nCoordinate training, scheduling, and ongoing engagement for volunteer and intern programs\nTrack volunteer and intern hours and program participation data\nSupport recognition and retention efforts for program participants\nCross-Departmental Collaboration & Program Administration\nPartner regularly with Guest Services, Facilities, Learning & Engagement, and Community Outreach\nSupport DEIA Committee initiatives and related programming as needed\nMaintain program calendars, records, and administrative reporting across both HR and accessibility functions\nQualifications\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered\n1-3 years of HR generalist, HR coordinator, or related administrative experience\nFamiliarity with ADA regulations and accommodation processes strongly preferred, or willingness to obtain ADA Coordinator training\nExperience working within an HRIS\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent programs and deadlines\nExcellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills\nComfort operating across both behind-the-scenes administrative HR work and public-facing, relationship-driven coordination\nDemonstrated commitment to accessibility, equity, and inclusion\nWork Environment & Physical Requirements\nRegular travel between Mint Museum Uptown and Mint Museum Randolph\nSome evening and weekend availability for volunteer events, trainings, or accessibility walkthroughs\nStandard office environment with periodic walking/standing during site accessibility assessments\nCompensation & Benefits\nCompensation is competitive and a benefits package will be included for this position.\nDisclaimer\nThe preceding job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
