Collaborative.\nThe Role\nAs a Junior Merchandiser at Mint Velvet, you'll play a key role in driving the performance of our core product categories, using data, insight and commercial judgement to maximise sales, profit and stock efficiency.\nWorking closely with the Head of Merchandising Operations, you'll take ownership of forecasting, trading and stock management, ensuring our best-selling products are available at the right time, in the right quantities and delivered as profitably as possible. You'll identify opportunities for growth, proactively manage risk and use customer and trading insight to inform commercial decision-making.\nKey responsibilities include:\nManage WSSI forecasting and reforecasting, identifying risks and opportunities and taking proactive action to deliver budget. \nEnsure best-selling and core lines are available at the right time and in the right quantities, balancing availability with stock risk. \nAnalyse sales, stock and customer trends to generate actionable insight and influence commercial decisions. \nPartner closely with Buying to shape range strategies, seasonal plans and stock investments. \nDrive in-season trading, reacting quickly to performance and identifying opportunities to maximise sales and margin. \nPresent trading performance and recommendations to senior stakeholders with confidence and credibility. \nWork cross-functionally with Digital, Marketing, Finance and Operations teams to deliver business objectives. \nMonitor competitor activity, market trends and customer behaviour to identify opportunities for growth. \nSupport and develop Assistant Merchandisers and MAA team members where appropriate.\nWhat You'll Have\nWe're looking for a commercially-minded Junior Merchandiser with strong technical merchandising foundations and a genuine passion for trading product.\nThis role could suit an established Junior Merchandiser or an ambitious Senior Assistant Merchandiser ready to take the next step in their career.\n\nYou'll bring:\nStrong merchandising experience with an excellent understanding of forecasting, stock management, WSSI ownership and trading principles.\nA highly analytical and data-driven approach, with the ability to turn insight into commercial action.\nConfidence building relationships, influencing stakeholders and working collaboratively across teams.\nA proactive mindset with a natural curiosity to understand customer behaviour, partner performance and market trends.\nThe ability to balance detail with the bigger picture, ensuring every decision supports sales, profitability and long-term growth.\n\nSuccess in this role will come from combining strong technical merchandising expertise with the confidence to influence, challenge and drive performance across the business.\nYou'll Be Rewarded With\nCompetitive starting salary and great career prospects in a fast paced and growing business\n25 days holiday plus bank holidays and a day off on your birthday\nCompany-funded private health insurance and access to Smart Health\nLife assurance \nDiscretionary bonus scheme\n50% staff discount \nSummer hours- 3pm finishes every Friday throughout June, July & August\nBespoke induction support and ongoing development to help you thrive in your new role\nA welcoming and inspiring work-environment -
