Depending on your background, skills, and current business needs, you'll be placed in one of our engineering teams - for example, working on our payments infrastructure, core investment products (Notes & Loans, ETFs, Crypto ETPs, and upcoming products), investor experience platform team, or other services that power the Mintos experience for millions of investors.\nYou will:\nDeliver backend features end-to-end: from API design to integrations with internal systems, external providers, and partners.\n\nDesign and implement services within a microservices, event-driven architecture, with clear domain ownership.\n\nWrite clean, maintainable, well-tested code using modern Java and Spring Boot.\n\nEnsure high system reliability and performance, covering edge cases and failure scenarios.\n\nBuild and maintain APIs that enable other teams to integrate with your team's services.\n\nCollaborate daily with engineers, product designers, and product managers to create intuitive, valuable product experiences.\n\nContinuously improve performance, observability, and the overall developer experience.\n\nOur tech stack:\nWe're working in a microservices architecture, with Java 21+, Spring Boot, RabbitMQ, and PostgreSQL. Our systems are event-driven, with eventual consistency, domain ownership, and observability as core principles.\nJava 21, Spring Boot 3.5.x\n\nGroovy 4, Spock 2.4\n\nLombok, vavr\n\nCucumber for end-to-end tests\n\nRabbitMQ for inter-service communication\n\nLiquibase, PostgreSQL\n\nGradle, Docker, Kubernetes\n\nGitHub for source control and deployment pipelines\n\nAWS services (ECS, ECR, RDS, CloudWatch, S3, SQS, SNS)\n\nIf you don't meet all the requirements above, we still encourage you to apply!\nYour professional skills and background\nMust-haves \nProven experience (5+ years) building scalable backend services using modern Java (11+), Spring Boot, and related tools.\n\nGood grasp of distributed systems, message brokers (e.g. RabbitMQ), and service boundaries.\n\nSolid SQL skills and experience working with relational databases like PostgreSQL.\n\nFamiliarity with CI/CD tools, Docker, Git, and containerized deployment practices.\n\nA test-driven mindset and a strong sense of ownership over your code in production.\n\nGood communication skills and written English (we work in international teams).\n\nExperience working in agile, cross-functional teams, with a passion for product discovery and delivering real user value.\n\nNice-to-haves\nExperience in fintech, banking, accounting, or other regulated domains.\n\nExperience building RESTful APIs.\n\nExperience building internal platform services that other engineering teams depend on.\n\nExperience with event-driven architecture or patterns like event sourcing.\n\nIf you don't meet all the requirements above, we still encourage you to apply!\nWhat we offer\nCompetitive salary and stock options.
