Data Engineer II (ERP)

As a Data Engineer, you'll have the chance to be responsible for the development and maintenance of back-end data warehouse systems for our products and applications. This role is specifically for joining the Enterprise Resource Program (ERP) team managing Workday, the finance stack, and all integrations and data pipelines into Workday. Key stakeholders include Finance, Traders, Sales, Account Management, Talent, Operations, and IT, along with tech SMEs across Platform, IT, Data Management, Data Science, and Analytics teams.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of experience in the data engineering and integration domain with in-depth exposure around building and managing data pipelines on cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
• Extensive hands-on experience around Notebook PySpark coding (preferably on Databricks) and advanced SQL to develop and optimize data pipelines.
• In-depth understanding of data modeling and data transformation techniques while maintaining a high level of data quality and integrity.
• Strong software development skills using Hadoop technologies such as Hive, Spark etc.
• 2-3+ years of experience in Workday Studio and managing code within the Workday environment.
• Knowledge and exposure to SaaS applications, such as Salesforce or any other CRM system.
• Well-versed with release management, incident management, and SDLC methodologies through Bitbucket/GitHub and JIRA.
• Good understanding of infrastructure components such as clusters, nodes, compute, and storage needed for managing data pipelines and their performance.
• Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate roadblocks, diagnose problems, and generate effective solutions.
• Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Worked with a wide variety of business and technical stakeholders on strategic data projects.
