Miratech retains nearly 1000 full-time professionals, and our annual growth rate exceeds 25%.\n We are looking for a Senior Java Developer with LLM expertise to lead the technical design, development and integration of core banking application systems for a major financial services client.\nThis role bridges high-scale microservices architecture with GenAI. You will help the bank build scalable, resilient, API-driven ecosystems that embed LLMs, agentic workflows, and intelligent automation into business processes. Day-to-day, you will implement solutions designed by the architecture team in Java and Spring Boot, build LLM-powered and agentic features, and shape how the wider developer group adopts AI-assisted engineering.\nWorking Model: This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days per week in a downtown Toronto office.\nResponsibilities:\nLead the design and delivery of Java/Spring Boot microservices, establishing API-first design principles, service-to-service communication and secure integration patterns.\nImplement solutions designed by architects, turning target designs into production-ready, well-tested services.\nIdentify, prototype and build automation using AI technologies, and architect backend systems that support LLM integration, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and vector databases.\nBuild agentic workflows and design, test and refine prompts for LLM-powered features.\nDesign event-driven workflows using streaming platforms such as Kafka.\nEnsure solutions fit containerized, cloud-native deployments on Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift or Azure, delivered through CI/CD pipelines.\nDrive formal design reviews, contribute to technology stack selection, and define caching and observability strategies.\nManage application security, including OAuth2/JWT authentication and authorization.\nPromote AI-assisted engineering across the developer group, including prompt engineering and the practical adoption of GitHub Copilot to speed up software delivery.\n 7+ years of experience designing and implementing large-scale enterprise applications.\nDeep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs and gRPC services.\nStrong proficiency in Python, prompt patterns, LLM orchestration frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex, and working with vector databases.\nHands-on experience with Kafka, RDBMS/SQL, NoSQL and high-performance caching architectures.\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), Docker/Podman, OpenShift/Kubernetes and cloud platforms.\nSolid understanding of application security, including OAuth2 and JWT.\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\nNice to have:\nExperience in banking, financial services or another regulated industry.\nExperience with production GenAI solutions, multiple LLM providers, LLM evaluation and agentic workflows.\nFamiliarity with AI governance, model risk management, privacy controls and responsible AI practices.\nExperience with Redis, messaging and streaming services, and Infrastructure as Code.\nExperience with security testing, DevSecOps, Agile/Scrum and GitHub Copilot.\nExperience mentoring developers and contributing to architecture standards, technical governance
