You’ll be involved in the assembly, integration and testing of both standard and bespoke measurement systems, supporting projects from build through to successful testing and delivery. \n\nWe are looking for a hands-on technician with practical assembly and testing experience who is comfortable working to rigorous standards and deadlines. Having a good mix of mechanical, electrical and testing experience is desirable and someone who is interested in working on technically interesting systems within a highly regulated environment.\n\nYou will be working closely with the wider project team and Project Technical Lead to support the successful delivery of projects.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nCarrying out mechanical and electrical assembly, including wiring and panel building\nCompleting system testing activities, including Electrical Safety testing\nFault finding, diagnostics and repair work\nWorking from detailed drawings, build instructions and test schedule documentation\nDocumenting builds, including red-line changes, and compiling build instructions\nEnsuring work meets predefined quality and technical standards within a highly regulated environment\nWorking collaboratively with colleagues to ensure customer requirements are met\nSupporting and mentoring junior team members where required\nIdentifying and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives\nUndertaking occasional short visits to other divisional, customer and supplier site\n\nSkills & Experience\nHNC level qualification, demonstrable equivalent, or currently studying towards an HNC in an electrical discipline\nPrevious experience within an assembly and/or test environment \nA broad range of mechanical, electrical and testing skills \nExperience working within a regulated industry \nStrong fault-finding, diagnostic and repair capabilities \nExperience working from detailed drawings and test documentation \nA working knowledge of IET Wiring Regulations \nExperience using materials-handling equipment \nGood interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a small team \nGood general IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office applications \nApplicants must be able to successfully complete HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) checks, with
