Operate as highly involved management member of operating staff including participation in site strategy development, decision making, monthly reports and presentations at staff meetings.\n\nBackground:\nThe Ge Detector product line is a highly engineered complex group of products that require a dedicated and diverse group of resources having the necessary skill sets to be successful with the manufacturing process. The Detector Manufacturing team works under close direction of the Detector Engineering team to ensure high integrity and reliability of the product.\nThis position is responsible for the management function relating to the safety of employees and manufacturing of products to meet customer requirements and expectations. This includes the responsibility to the Manufacturing team and Technical Support team of providing tools, training, and leadership to help them excel in producing high quality products at a competitive cost.\n\nESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES\nEnsure safety of all employees working in manufacturing area.\nManage Detector Test, Assembly, and Fabrication manufacturing departments.\nLead and motivate all subordinates to fulfill schedules, improve control costs and quality.\nTrain, coach and supervise employees to attain optimum performance considering every employee.\nEnsure to promote an atmosphere allowing the team to achieve the best of their skills.\nEmploy, interview, monitor and conduct disciplinary methods for all subordinates.\nWork with Material Manager and Planner to ensure that materials are available when needed.\nConduct routine audits of equipment and ensure routine maintenance schedules are followed.\nDesign, prepare and record test and manufacturing methods to ensure high quality and efficiency.\nComply with entire Q/A manual to assure high quality products are produced.\nConduct routine one on one meeting with direct reports to ensure communication and feedback on general health and condition of the functional areas.\nWrite and present employee performance reviews along with recommending merit increases at scheduled periods.\nBe involved in development and administration of rewards program apt for high achievers.\nMaintain feasible schedules of entire product teams and expedite material as needed.\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES\nManage and oversee daily operations of the Detector Test, Fabrication, and Assembly areas.\nAssign daily tasks.\nResponsible for tracking, monitoring, and achieving department Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).\nReview and approve Detector product manufacturing plan.\nGather, monitor and report on Lean Daily Management.\nDirect and train subordinates in the performance of their duties.\nMaintain germanium and cryostat inventory.\nEnsure production equipment is properly maintained.\nEnsure compliance with QA standards and documentation requirements.\nDetermine reworks and assign crystals to orders and troubleshoot test, assembly, and fabrication problems.\nMaintain Detector Database.\n\nADDITIONAL DUTIES\nLead and motivate all subordinates to fulfill schedules, improve control costs and quality.\nWorks with Material Manager and planner to ensure that materials are available when needed.\nEmploy, interview, monitor and conduct disciplinary methods for all subordinates.\nEnsure to promote an atmosphere allowing the team to achieve the best of their skills.\n\nESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS\nDemonstrated mastery of Detector Test department procedures.\nDemonstrated skill in general Ge spectrometry methods.\nDemonstrated knowledge of Ge detector related products and accessories.\nDemonstrated knowledge of the Mirion ERP procedures with respect to Detector production.\nAbility to assign tasks to others and verify follow through.\nAbility to work cross-functionally with other individuals.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\n\nADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS\nKnowledge and skill in statistical analysis.\nKnowledge of Lean 6S.\n\nAMOUNT OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED\nMore than 6 years in technical field.
