The role is focused on continuous process improvement and cost out to enable the business to operate more efficiently while delivering to the customer.\n Key Areas of Responsibility: \nWork with Repair Technicians to ensure troubleshooting & repair is effective & efficient.\nRecommend design changes to improve product quality, performance, cost, & reliability.\nBuild & test prototypes for new product development.\nTroubleshoot difficult electrical problems, determine root cause, and implement solutions.\nDevelop and maintain manuals, test procedures and BOMs.\nDevelop PC board layout, electrical schematics, and complete assemblies.\nDevelop test plans for hardware/software verification and validation.\nPerform hardware/software verification and validation testing.\nDeveloping and implementing process control techniques and procedures for manufacturing.\nCreating assembly procedures and work instructions for all phases assembly and provides the training and oversight to carry through implementation.\nManage the transfer of PC Boards to a Contract Manufacturer for manufacturing and deal with any problems with the Contract Manufacturer.\nKnowledge, Skills and Experience:\nBS in Electrical or Electronic Engineering with 3-5 years’ experience working in an engineering or manufacturing environment.\nProficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).\nStrong communication skills with excellent technical writing skills.\nMust be attentive to details and highly organized.\nSkilled at using oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, and processor emulators/debuggers.\nAbility to prioritize effectively and work on concurrent projects.\nMust be able to proactively and constructively make suggestions for process or product improvement.\nMust be able to think independently but work within the constraints set by product architecture.\nAbility to productively work both autonomously and as part of a team.\nFamiliarity with ESD prevention, IPC-A-610/J-STD workmanship standards, and Quality Management System Standards; ISO 9001 and 13485, and FDA standards knowledge and experience are desirable\nProficiency using basic electronic test and measurement equipment including Calipers, Multimeters, Power Supplies, etc.\nAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.\nTravel and working extended workdays as required to support Manufacturing Operations\nMust be able to lift up to 30 lbs. unassisted;
